It has been a while since I joined #beersaturday
It's not that stopped drinking beer, but I just didn't take the time to write reviews of what I drink.
I also must admit that, with 386 different unique beers registered in Untapped, it gets harder to find beert that I didn't have yet (and are from the types that I like).
I was triggered to write this blog by @godfish who mentioned me in a recent #beersaturday post. He stated that there must be some good beers in the Netherlands too and I should join the #beersaturday
So I did, and here is my post; a beer review from Zeeuws Blond from the Dutch brewery Dutch Bargain.
I found this beer in a local supermarket I frequently visit. They have quite a range of different beers to choose from, but as I said before; I already had most of them. I do have a couple of favorite beers I drink, but I always like to try out new ones.
And last week I found this one. And since I like blondes, I bought myself a can. I usually don't buy cans since I collect bottle caps (later more about this).
What I do like about beercans nowadays is that the brewers often pay a lot of attention to the design of the cans. They mostly have vivid colours and cool designs.
This can had a photograph of, what else could they choose, a blonde woman. At least, that's what I think it is because all you see is wild hair ๐
When pooring the beer you can certainly notice why they added fresh and fruity on the label. The aroma is really fruity. After pooring the beer a nice layer of foam was formed. The foam didn't last long. After a while the foam was completely gone.
The beer itself has a nice light yellow colour which you see often with blonde beers. It's also a quite clear beer.
With the first sip I noticed a quite pronounced flavor. It's a bit more bitter than most blonde beers I've had. Itโs slightly hoppy and leaning more towards an IPA. I really liked this beer, but I also like IPA's, so that might be in my favour. The beer has little to very little carbonation which makes it soft.
It's a shame that this beer wasn't available in a bottle. Not that the taste is different, but because I collect bottle caps. I already shared my picture frame where I keep most of my bottle caps in.
This frame contains a total of 238 bottle caps.
Apart from that I'm working towards a second photo frame. I collect the caps in my beer cabinet in my garage. Here I have 'only' 76 bottle caps, so I still have a long way to go.
I have personally drunk all these beers. No, I don't consider myself an alcoholic since this was achieved over a period of approximately 10 years, so it will probably take a couple of years before I can fill the second frame.
I hope you enjoyed my #beersaturday review

Now that is a proper review :) Thanks for taking the challenge! Cheers!
Thanks and you're welcome!
I'll keep it in mind for future posts.
That is an amazing collection! And a lot of beer drinking!
Thanks! It surely is a lot, but I 'achieved' it over a very long time (many, many years).
I have never drank one beer, so it seems like a lot to me! ๐คฃ I wish I liked the taste, but give me a glass of wine any day!

Of the Cuban ones you don't have, if I had how to get them to you I would send them to you. Very good post, I liked it @friendlymoose ๐๐๐ป. Greetings from Cuba ๐จ๐บ
Thank you! I don't have any bottle caps from Cuba yet. But I have one rule for collecting bottle caps which is that I have to drink the beer as well.
I must come to Cuba sometime then.
All caps are from beers I drank myself over a very long period. This makes that some of them contain good memories of holidays abroad.
Ohh! Ok yes even more interesting collection very Good of you bro, well keep on meeting places and adding more badges to the collection @friendlymoose. Cheers ๐ซก๐๐๐๐จ๐บ
