Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!
Yes, it's the weekend once more and that also means Caturday, my favorite day of the week for sharing cat photos!
Shadow and Shangri
Well, it has been about six weeks now, and I can say that our new kittens — Shangri and Nala — have completely settled into our household.
And they seem to have made themselves feel quite at home!
Friends!
Last weekend, the Mom-Hooman took a trip to nearby Seattle, and one of the things she did while there was buy some new cat beds... not just new but also bigger because it seemed like we should now expect more than one cat to occupy each bed!

The new cat beds have been distributed around the house and they seem to be very well received, and we have already had pretty much every possible combination of cats trying out every cat bed!
It's nice to know that the Hoomans will go to considerable lengths to keep us cats happy.

Shangri is growing up quite quickly which is perhaps not so surprising as he's almost always very close to one of the food dishes. We still are of the opinion that he's going to end up being a fairly large cat.

Nala remains relatively small and dainty, and does not seem to have her brother's eternally ravenous appetite. That said, she's still a very happy and healthy young cat.

Meanwhile, we all keep crossing fingers for the crypto markets to experience a real uptick after what seems like such a long period of "false starts."
Even our own Hive token seems to keep knocking on $0.20, and then falls back again. Sad to think that we have reached a point where we are actually hopeful when we get to just 20 cents...

Well, it's getting quite late, so that's all we have to share for this Caturday update!
We appreciate you stopping by, and hope to see you again soon!
If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?
These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Many of the allow you to share your cat posts, even if you started at a different community!
HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!
Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!
Caturday by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!
Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!
Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.
There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!

The cats are growing up so fast. I am happy to see them sleeping with each other and hanging out together. They have settled in perfectly. Yay for you all!
Oh, boy! New cat beds for 2! Shangri is definitely going to be a large cat! no wonder he loves to eat, there's a lot of growing to do.
happy to join your community caring for cats our feline friends.
Cats adapt to a new home by gradually exploring their environment, using their keen senses to feel safe. They rely on familiar scents, hiding spots, and routines to reduce stress. Providing them with their favorite toys, bedding, and a quiet space helps them settle in. With time, as they feel secure, they will explore more areas of the house and become comfortable in their new surroundings. Patience and gentle interaction are key to helping a cat adapt successfully.
