As for banks here, some do offer rewards for opening an account, but cash bonuses are generally not as common or as generous as the ones I've seen in the UK. Usually, the promotions involve free insurance, raffle entries, rewards points, or incentives for maintaining a certain balance rather than direct cash for switching banks. It would be very interesting to see an Asia-focused version of your content someday. I think many readers here would find it useful.
