Good evening to all my night owl friends. The clock strikes twelve, and this time, if I'm not alone enjoying the calm of the night, my mom and I are keeping each other company, sitting on the balcony drinking tea and reminiscing about old stories and experiences.

Mom always speaks nostalgically of the past, especially when I was little. I think that's how all mothers must feel when they see their children become men and women.

There was also a lot of laughter. She reminded me of an anecdote from when I was about 12 years old. We were visiting my aunt and uncle in Florida, a municipality in Camagüey. One afternoon, when everyone was resting, I decided to stay and watch TV. I've never been much of a nap. Back then, the living room chairs were the kind that fold up. Well, it turns out I was so restless that the chair folded up, and I was trapped inside like a cheese sandwich—in which, of course, I was the cheese. Everyone came running when they heard the crash, and while they were helping me out, we couldn't stop laughing. I really made their day, haha.

Linda noche para todos mi amigos noctámbulos, el reloj marca las doce y en esta ocasión si no me encuentro sola disfrutando la calma de la noche, mi mamá y yo nos hacemos compañía, sentadas en el balcón tomando té y recordando viejos cuentos y vivencias.

Mami siempre habla con nostalgia del pasado, principalmente cuando era pequeña, creo que así deben sentirse todas las madres cuando ven a sus hijos hechos hombres y mujeres.

También hubo muchas risas, me recordó una anécdota de cuando tenía como 12 años, nos encontrábamos de visita en Florida, municipio de Camagüey, en casa de los tíos, un mediodía que todos estaban descansando yo decidí quedarme a ver televisor, nunca he sido de dormir mucho, en ese entonces las sillas de la sala son de las que se doblan, aquí les dejo una imagen para que las recuerden.

Bueno, pues resulta que era tanta mi intranquilidad, que la silla se cerró y quedé atrapada adentro como un sándwich de queso, en el que por supuesto yo era el queso. Todos vinieron al escuchar el estruendo y mientras me ayudaban a salir, no podíamos parar de reírnos todo, vaya que les hice el día jjj.
