Midnight prompt #18// My semester result couldn't make me sleep

$1

My second semester result will be out in the morning, and somehow, that simple fact has turned sleep into a distant idea. It isn’t fear that’s keeping me awake, and it isn’t anxiety either it’s curiosity. The kind that sits quietly but refuses to be ignored.

As the night grows deeper, my mind keeps drifting back to the same question: How did it all turn out? I replay moments from the semester long lectures, tired evenings, notes read half-asleep, efforts made even on days I didn’t feel my best. Not to judge them, just to wonder. To connect the effort with the outcome.
I don’t know about you, but curiosity feels different at night. There are no distractions, no noise just you and your thoughts. And in that silence, curiosity becomes loud. It makes you imagine different possibilities, different versions of tomorrow, all existing at once in your mind.

What fascinates me most is how a result, just numbers on a screen—can hold so much meaning. Months of work, growth, struggle, and persistence waiting to be revealed in a single moment. It makes you reflect on how time passes quietly, and how outcomes arrive suddenly.

So here I am, awake at this faithful midnight, not rushing the morning, not dreading it either, just waiting. Letting curiosity keep me company through the night, wondering how effort translates into results.

Morning will come soon enough.
Until then, curiosity keeps me awake.
