Howdy to you all, my fellow Midnight Owls,

Here is the new prompt for the Midnight Owls:

What’s the most unserious thing that affected your mood today?

In this new prompt of the week, let's get a little personal with our writing by talking about something that affected you today. It could be something that happened during the week or something that happened in the past, but whenever you think about it, you just get pissed, and your mood changes. No matter how unserious it may be, feel free and just write.

Before I share the unserious thing that happened to me today with you all, first let us take a look at some pretty decent jam recommendations from some Midnight Owls, using the previous prompt, How would you convince an early sleeper to stay awake at Midnight?

My story on the simple thing that affected my mood recently is something quite unserious but at the moment when it occured to me it was pretty much serious to me. It would sound like a baby complaining, and after a while, it will be off my chest. Journaling or writing things down could be helpful in getting rid of anger or writing away things that are what inspired my generation of this prompt.

A couple of nights back, while I was up at midnight, I decided to play some bullet games online just to keep myself busy since I could not sleep. I was on some fast speed, feeling myself while I was playing, and the spectacular games I was playing until everything went all bad all of a sudden. I was in the middle of a game, and for no reason, my network went off. Just out of the blue, I was no longer connected to the internet, and the most painful part is that I was winning. It was demoralizing to me because of how and why. These things happen, but when it happens to you, it becomes super painful. It is like it is easy to give advice when you are not the person experiencing it. I did not have anything to say at that point, but I was only annoyed.

The good thing about chess is that after a while, you get over it, but at that moment, it can be that painful. This is why grandmasters like Magnus get pretty much pissed whenever they lose a game, and worse when they were winning.

What is yours?
