What is your excuse for being awake at midnight?

The last prompt got the midnight owls writing about their random thoughts during the midnight hours. The entries were nice, and it is cool to see that there are midnight owls also have some random thoughts. Let us make that again, but this time on the new prompt for what is your excuse for being awake at midnight. As a midnight owl, I am more than certain that there should be more than one excuse we have given in the past for how midnight activities, instead of sleeping.

My Excuse for being awake at Midnight

It is the working time for the midnight owls, the hours of the midnight were when the owls come out with their daily activities. It may be funny that we would not be available during the day, but of how we have started up all through the night, and now we are sleeping during the day. If you are reading this right now, there is a high chance that you could be a midnight owl as well, or that is, if you are not one already.

With a couple of posts I have read from Midnight Owls, a lot of them claim that the night is more productive for them compared to the day. Simply because there is less noise at night compared to the busy activities that go on during the day. Well, that is one valid excuse if you look at it closely. We all want that form of privacy, or at least silence. I recall watching a funny video of a baby girl who was acting as a chef to her parents, where she was taking her parents' orders. The funny part of the video was when the parent asked for silence as their order, and the girl told them she does not offer that. This is what the day feels like to me. It does not offer silence, hence I move at night.

In deep form, my mind is an explorer that keeps wandering all through the night, and that is my excuse. My mind and brain have become pals in hanging out at night, and for some reason, they become super active. Playing chess, reading an article or book, or staying up bingeing a long TV show with so many episodes. My excuse is my mind just being a wanderer at night, with so many random thoughts and activities I can do at midnight.
