When it comes to learning skills, I'm a fan. Be it soft skills, digital skills, cognitive skills, interpersonal or interpersonal skills or whatever, that benefits, seems helpful or catches my interest. We're in a world that suggests the need to learn one or two skills for one's good and benefit. These skills are learnt not by mistake but by conscious efforts and with a willingness to learn or acquire them. It's also worthy of mention that learning any skill isn't an easy task. It's something that could take months, a year, and maybe years.

I see it as a deliberate effort to acquire any skill. And because doing such isn't a day's job, it makes the whole process difficult and sometimes impossible. There are some skills I tried to learn which I left along the way for some reason; sometimes beyond me. There are some self-development skills which are necessary and they are things that I'm still learning. All of that showed me that learning a skill is never a day's job. There's no easy way out usually. But in the event that by some means, I could learn a skill overnight, it would be a good course.
I'll be considering one digital skill, which is data analytics. I got to understand how one of the most valuable and sought out thing in our world today is data. Data means a lot today for businesses and agencies to thrive. As data is needed, it sounds a call for analysts who are capable of translating data into workable information. It's one thing to have data, and it's another thing to analyse it rightly and properly. Without such, data gathered can be a wasted effort because it remains a raw fact, unprocessed, and thus, not useful.

Yes, many skills pertain to personal development that I could choose. I recognise their need and importance, which some are a work in progress. Data analytics came as a strong option to me because of a recent event. Actually, I've had an interest in learning this skill for a while now, but I wasn't privileged. And not because of just the money that I might make l, which is the common drive. In the recent event, a friend reached out to me wanting help for a friend with regard to data analytics work. I wasn't skilled in it, so I referred to someone.
They couldn't get it done with that person for some reason. Personally, I understood their plight, because I was in a similar situation. That was a reason I realised the need to learn data analytics in today's world. I could just wonder, if only I could do it, I would have done that, and even get rewarded. If wishes were horses, right? This made me see more reason to want to learn this skill. Hopefully, I will. This makes me consider that if I could have this opportunity to learn a skill overnight, I would pick data analytics.
