Hey everyone,
First, I want to give a big thank you to @friendlymoose for continuing to evangelize and gather feedback for the Post Curation Tool (PCT). His latest post, "Hive needs better feeds! Letβs build a custom Curation tool! (part 6)," is another great update.
After a brief discussion with him, it was clear that a valuable addition to the tool would be to see a post's current vote and payout information directly on the curation card. This live data helps curators make better decisions about which posts to vote on and how to best use their voting power.
I'm happy to announce that this feature has now been implemented.
When you're curating, knowing a post's current status on the blockchain is critical. Has it already received a lot of votes? Is it close to its final payout? Answering these questions can be the difference between a good vote and a great one.
To provide this information, each post card in the PCT now displays live data pulled directly from the blockchain.
Specifically, you can now see:
It's important to note that this information is fetched on the front end. This means it's always up-to-date at the moment you're viewing it, but it is not part of the searchable back-end index. It's simply extra context to help you make the best possible curation choices.
This was a great suggestion from the community, and I'm happy to have been able to add it to the tool.
EDIT: Play with it here! -> https://thecrazygm.com/hivetools/pct

Cool update!
You only forgot to add the link to the tool in your blog π

OMG. I DO THIS EVERY TIME! π€£

If you want more users, you do need to give them the link, haha!
Excellent additions, my friend. This tool is coming along nicely! I think once more people know about it, that it will become quite widely used. π π π β¨ π€
One suggestion, let's say I am hivepakistan curator and I want to curate but don't wanna see in feed content already curated by hivepakistan.
I used your tool and it helped me curate few more independence day posts by Pakistanis. GG!
We'll add it to the list of requests! (Not sure how I'd go about it yet, but I'll add it to the list!)
