I'm not leaving HIVE guys!

Ok so I got some feedback (lol), and I am not sure how other people think after looking at my blog, that I am leaving. I love HIVE. I love it so much Imma sell some. Ok?

Here's what's going on:

We are building amazing things on top of HIVE

I "know" and have learned even better as I get to know and interview leaders around this chain - how hard it is to translate ideas into "what I am doing", and then again how hard to translate "what i am doing" into "why you should care".

Such is life. You have to build it - THEN they come.

I believe this very strongly, not because some movie said it once, but because I have lived it. We have been rambling to each other for so long about what HIVE can do, that its hard to "unsee what we see", and understand that everyone is just doing their own thing out there in this world. They are not against what we are building here on HIVE, but instead it is WE who have not done a good enough job building the things that will get them to use it.

And to you other leaders - I see you!

Part of this process I am engaged in, feedback and validation, is outward looking as well. I am looking at you, dear users! Fellow Hivians! I know that when you ask for 99 thousand dollars, people are pretty sure you should be thinking mostly "about the money". And I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but

It's not about the money

That's all my last post was about. I have more roadmap, we have 10 days still LIVE on the proposal. I want you to vote me for partial funding (next post), or continue to tell me why not, ideally on chain and in public, but also private dms are just fine.

And a lot of you have. If you feel I haven't listened to you, that doesn't mean I don't hear you. It means, I think I know what I am doing. I appreciate all the valuable feedback in another way, because it helps me validate YOU - who you are, what you think, what is important to you.

Its funny but...

Not everyone wants the same things

Another way to say this, the "contrapositive" as it were, is you can't make everyone happy, at least not at the same time. And trying to do so, is probably unhealthy, for everyone - me, you, and the chain.

We don't need one thing. We need all the things. We don't need "leaders", we need HUMANS. Each validating and iterating and doing what they think is best. Ideally, with open and honest communication along the way.

Which, is what "MOAR PODCASTS" is supposed to mean. Someone told me I am saying it so much that it sounds disengenuous. Okay but - have you seen the 14 episodes we have already done? (definitely subscribe! okok)

We have built some tools, done some podcasts, and are working additionally on cast.garden integration. We are doing great! And you know what - you are too. LOTS and LOTS of you have given feedback. Thank you for that.

And yes, we are validating. We are snapshotting our voter lists, we are taking notes about who is most helpful and who is most dense. That's just practical. Because probably, maybe, we will apply for another DHF proposal, no matter what happens with this one.

DEMYSTIFY EVERYTHING

That is all we are doing. And yes, maybe I am "playing too many games" all at the same time. I have randomly big bags scattered across weird corners of this chain, and I am ready to "put my money where my mouth is", and I appreciate each and every one of you that at least takes the time and effort to understand this.

Am I ok?

Yes. I am probably sometimes trying to mediate too much. Don't get me wrong, I am good at seeing all sides (I'm literally a sociologist), and have a wonderful tendency to "take the other side" in any discussion. That might not always "make sense". I find certain things repulsive, I'm just busy doing the things I find wonderful. And I know and respect especially that other people have their own thoughts, feelings and opinions about "all the stuff".

So, "let's go". That's all. We are three months in already. And you know, seems like a lot of people are waking up. I think its probably good, to wake up BEFORE things get absolutely bonkers. But, we will see!
