Snack made in memories of my Grandma.

Snack made in memory of my grandma.Hello everyone, it's another beautiful day, and it feels good to be here. Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Last week Thursday, I took my children down the memory of my childhood and made this sweet kosai rogo for them.

So I made this sweet streets snack for my children in memory of my grandmother; let me tell you a little story behind this snack.

So back then, while growing up, when Dad died, our grandmother used to make kosai (akara) for sale, and we would hawk it for her. This particular one is called kosai rogo; "rogo" is cassava in English. Come and see how I made my sweet kosa rogo.

This is the cassava I used, I got it from a local market in my area.

This is the cassava after I've peeled washed it.

This is me hand grating the cassava.

After grating, I hand squeezed it to removed the water, and starch.

This is what it looks like after squeezing, I put in my ingredients

Mixing my ingredients and after the mixture, this is what it looks like.

This is me moulding it to look like the kusai rogo that it is๐Ÿ˜

In the process of frying, and here is our koksai rogo ready for eating. We enjoyed every bit of it.

This is something I can get in the streets on a normal day, but I personally make this for them, because it healthier for me. All the steps I took in making this remind me of my grandmother. And this particular snack can only be found in the northern part of Nigeria.
Thank you for reading through. See you next time.
