I'm not sure if this post belongs to the #TBT community, but I will risk and publish it here as it is about one of the events that left a deep impact on me and changed my views about certain things... This is my first post in the #TBT community (shame on me), I wanted to do it a long time ago, but I have an issue with checking out old photos... I lose a whole day, or a week when I dive into thousands and thousands of photos... 😃
As you noticed from the title, the topic of this post is boats, as I was checking photos that I didn't publish from the #BuzzParty2024 from Hamburg, and I saw that I have many boats on them... 😃 Also, publishing these boat photos is a perfect excuse to refresh my memory about this event which was one of the best HIVE meetups that I had (if not the best 🙂)!
This boat ride was one of our "excursions" during the #BuzzParty2024 event, and I almost missed it!!! I have already told that story of being distracted in the souvenir shop and arriving at the harbor dock in the last seconds before the boat set sail! In the photo above, you can see some of the Hivians listening to the boat captain talking about buildings and the Hamburg harbor, sharing interesting, history stories of that area...
To be honest, I forgot almost ALL those stories. I was knocked out that morning because I didn't have too much sleep the previous night... Despite that, I have tried to enjoy my time as much as possible, using this awesome company that I had!
These photos are dearest to me... Every time I see a photo with my Hive friends, I teleport myself to that moment... 🙂 Yes, the weather wasn't the best, but at least it didn't rain (too much), so we could spend time inside the boat, listening to the captain, or to walk outside and have beer with friends! I was trying to be in both places, but it wasn't always possible... Hehehe...
While I'm sharing these photos, I would like to encourage everyone to at least try to attend one Hive meetup... If there are no organized meetups in your area, try to search HIVE for friends who live near you and organize HIVE meetups yourselves!!! It doesn't have to be 20-30-100 people, but you can start with your friend(s), and slowly grow it... Meetups are a great way to motivate each other, they are inspiring when you hear stories from your fellow Hivians about this place... People who attend meetups are mostly positive, and open-minded! The truth is that most of us are weird, anti-social introverts, but we have one thing in common... HIVE! As we all love it, HIVE is what unites us, it is a never-ending topic for numerous stories...
The day after this one, we were traveling with a few of the ferries like this orange
Speaking of meetups, I did a couple of smaller meetups too! Those are especially interesting as you can focus on 1-2 people and dedicate your time to them... It's great to learn more about people from different sides of the world, and from different areas of life, different ages, etc. It's amazing to see how some "more mature" Hivians still have the spark that even some youngsters don't have!!! Hive makes you younger! 🙂
We don't have a Princess on HIVE... We are decentralized! 🙂
Speaking of diversity on HIVE, we are exactly like these boats, different, but the same... with the same vision, and beliefs in a better future... and we work on that!
submarine in the harbor? WTF?
Some Hivans are "heavy-lifters", like this cargo ship, spending hours and hours on the network, attending meetups, visiting conferences... They are an important part of this ecosystem, but on the other side, those content creators who are adding value to other's lives are important too! Those who are "consuming content", leaving meaningful comments to the posts, and encouraging authors to continue with the good work, are equally important as heavy lifters...
comments are those who are "lifting" the spirits, and motivating people to stay on HIVE, dive deeper, making friends and connections... just like these cranes
In the last photo, you can see the small group of Hivians ready to embark on the huge cruiser, to explore the unknown waters, to onboard new users to our small boat... Or maybe to take over that cruiser and travel beyond the cryptocurrency world and onboard new users? 🙂
Thank you for your time,
--ph--

Wow these photos are amazing! Lots of scenery on both sides of the waters. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!
We didn't have nice weather, but I had a great time... :) I have a few dozen photos more... lol... Will see if I will create one more post or not... :)
Looking forward! ;)
It sounds like an interesting lineup when you are on a boat. I have never attended a meetup, but it does sound like an interesting experience.
It was a great experience! Can't wait to repeat it at the next Hive meetup! :)
That looks like such a great place where to hang out and meet new people sharing the same passion! Sadly, in a bit over 7 years since I joined the chain, I didn't manage to attend any of these but it will remain on my list of to-do things in this life :)
Hive Fest is near you, isn't it? That's a perfect event to meet many Hivians... You have a bit less than 2 months to get ready... 😃
Not really. But it does take place a lot closer than in the previous editions indeed :)
Wow!!! Never knew Hamburg was such a nice city with such a great harbor! Thanks for sharing!!

That harbor is huge! Third in Europe and 15th in the world... I can't imagine how big is the 1st one, in Shanghai!
Yeah indeed, can't imagine the Shanghai one! And living near Antwerp, I am quite a bit used to a big harbor already :-)
I use to do well with meetups in the past, I like getting involved and doing the things that matters. I attended a meetup back in the day and it was fun, I still have and treasure the picture just like you do.
I remember this event, it wasn't really good weather wise, but you still took a lot of pictures
I suppose that bad weather or location doesn't matter at all, if the company is great! And it was great on this one!
It was indeed and you relished it
What a nice and original Hive meetup, it was really a very unique and special moment to share a meeting on board 😍
I love the boats, they are so majestic and it is the closest contact we can have with the immense sea.
A very nice memory ❤️
I have to admit that I like these "smaller" meetups where you can hang out with every, single participant! I mean, HiveFest is great, but there is no way that you can get in contact with everyone!
Thanks for checking out my post! Happy to see that you liked it!
It would be great to create a memory together, at one of the next Hive meetups. :)
Greetings @ph1102 ,
What a energetic well-written Hive story....very engaging...and now we are rushing around trying to find then next Hive meet-up...provided it has lovely boats and a harbour. What language did your guide speak?
'People who attend meetups are mostly positive, and open-minded! The truth is that most of us are weird, anti-social introverts, but we have one thing in common... HIVE! As we all love it, HIVE is what unites us.' How true is this...too true! ^__^
Cheers, Bleujay
The next Hive Meetups that I plan to attend are Hive Fest in Split, Croatia in September, and probably BuzzParty Graz next year (March I think)... Until then, maybe a few smaller meetups who knows where... :)
The guy was speaking in English, so we could all understand it... There were a few German Hivians who weren't good with English, and unfortunately, I wasn't able to conversate with them...
Thanks for checking out the post! Appreciated!
Great memories ☺️. It is worth to attend a meetup if you can. 💪
It was a great meetup! I hope I will make it to the next one in Graz!
greetings my dear friend, of course your publication is part of our TBT, everything that are pleasant memories and we have them in photographs are part of a good TBT, by the way the photos are very beautiful.
Thanks! I'm glad that you liked the photos and the post!
Hive meetups are the best! Can't wait for the HiveFest and the next BuzzParty!
Excellent my friend
I also posted in #TBT for the first time today.
I also wasn't sure if the topic was OK for the community, but I see that we are getting upvotes, so we probably didn't make a big mistake 😁
Although not so long ago, that stay in Hamburg certainly left a wonderful memory for everyone who was there at the meeting.
I had a bad time in Hamburg regarding my headaches and lack of sleep... But, all that is forgotten and what is left in my memory is only the great time spent with other Hivians!
I would strongly suggest attending some of these if you have a chance... After HiveFest, I think next Spring there should be the 2nd BuzzParty in Graz... ;)
Cheers!
It’s obvious that you made so much memories from the Hamburg Hivefest
I hope you share the remaining memories with us😁😁
Nice pictures!
Thanks! I think I have a couple more pictures and then, it's time for another Hive meetup!
It’s so great to see the way Hive brings people together in unique ways. So Happy the Meetup was successful
Like I said, the meetup was awesome! I met some new people, and I had more time to talk with some old Hive friends... ;)
So glad you did brother 🙏💯
