It's Throwback Thursday, guys! I love Thursdays here because I can share and reminisce about some beautiful memories in this community.
Going down memory lane, I will be sharing some of my favourite DIY crafts with you all.
Going through my gallery today, I stumbled upon some of my DIY crafts and I smiled. Going through each and every one of them, I couldn’t have been more proud of myself. There was no way I was successfully able to pull them off.
Grinning from ear to ear, my eyes lit up the further I went.
I’ve been feeling a certain way lately. I have lost interest in a lot of things, including my DIY crafts.
Embarking on such DIY projects seems difficult these days, so I’m taking a break from that department until I get the spark back. I pray I don’t completely forget everything before then.
I love every single one of them. Remembering how I painstakingly created each of them makes the sacrifices worth it.
There were so many errors, there were times when I’d have to start all over, there were times when I got frustrated and contemplated giving up to save myself the stress. There was the fun part, the part when I’d get super excited once whatever I was creating was beginning to come to life, etc.
I remember sending a couple of pictures to my friends, and they’d be like “Oh my God, you did this?” And I’d feel on top of the world. It felt great to see people acknowledge the creative juice in me.
These memories are so dear to me. Every craft I created was made with so much love. Brick by brick I built them all, and finally deriving satisfaction in seeing them turn out just the way I envisioned them made me super proud of myself.
I remember how many times I’d try to give up simply because they didn’t appear as grand and aesthetically pleasing as the ones in the inspo or times when some of my crazy friends would liken my craft to something else or tease me about the project.
During this period, I believed the quote “You can do whatever you set your mind to do.” While creating these crafts l learnt so many valuable lessons.
It felt nice to know that not only Pinterest peeps could pull off cool stuffs like this, I too could create amazing crafts.
I feel so happy sharing these beautiful memories of mine in this beautiful community, see you all next week Thursday😃
