RE: Flying Through Fog and Bad Decisions – Autumn in Esch-sur-Sûre with My Mini 3 Pro

Nice shots! Last weekend we were flying through foggy misty stuff trying to dive downtown buildings, that was until one of our buddies lost video and crashed on one of the roofs, then smacked a window trying to fly line of site out, lol. We recovered and got the hell out of there, lol. Went to the abandoned concrete plant and flew there, lol. Obviously I am a freestyle pilot, wouldn't be doing that with a Mavic... Haha. Actually about to get my DJI FPV which is my 'camera drone' out today and do some mountain surfing!

That sure does sound nice, that mountain surfing!!!! :-D The part where your friend lost connection and crashed not so much :-D lol
I'm not a freestyle pilot at all to be honest, I bought me the DJI Neo last year, with the goggles and everything, to give it more or less a try (and I know DJI "freestyle" is not even close to normal freestyle :-) ), and not lose too much money if I didn't like it... And to be honest, I had fun with it! But pissed my pants as well :-D

But the KEY here is, you got into some goggles! That FPV feel is like nothing else! We have a guy in our group that is still on the Avata 2 and now has a Neo, so no judgement, lol. He at least tries with the Avata, lol. I would do more freestyle with that one than I would with the DJI FPV I have. Once you have that FPV itch, you can't go back to standard mavics or anything. I think you can get into O4 units with those goggles if I am not mistaking, so if you were to get the hair up your butt to build a quad, you can get the DJI O4 Pro or Lite if you are doing a 1S-3S quad, which is by far the best video system on the planet.

My freestyle is all done with DIY build machines with carbon fiber frames and a bunch of 3D printed TPU bumpers to protect it, lol.
