RE: Flying Through Fog and Bad Decisions – Autumn in Esch-sur-Sûre with My Mini 3 Pro

I think I remember your photos of this place, but with a lot more sunlight... 😃 On the other hand, it looks great even with a foggy, ugly weather... It suits it!

Thanks to the weird “UFO/drones spotted over Belgium and half of Europe” drama, it now feels like every time I launch, I’m two propellers away from a visit from the drone police.

Btw. are there ways to "legally" fly a drone? I mean, can you apply somewhere, register, or do something similar? I have no idea how it goes, but I suppose something like that should exist...

Yeah this is one of those places that is always beautiful, no matter what the weather is :-) Nature kinda does that I guess ;-) And I am looking forward to visiting it again when there is snow!
For the drones, yes, there is the EU regulation that is now in place for... well, the whole EU :-) But, as it is still Europe, each country has its own implementation :-D
Normally, with a <250gram drone, you can fly almost everywhere during the day, except where there are no-fly zones. And each country has their own way of defining these, and where to look them up etcetera.
Best way to go forward with a drone is getting to know these EU and local rules, find the site to register (and register), get a A1/A3 drone license (for free), and fly where there is not too much hassle or annoying people :-D
