The theme of the June 2023 contest is:
The best pizza I've ever eaten. This theme touched my sensibility because it awakened many longings in me, which are part of my life story. I will tell you why below.

When I read that we were going to talk this month about the best pizza I've ever eaten in my life my answer can only be one:
The best pizza I've ever eaten is the one made with love, the one that tastes like home.
I'll explain:
The first pizza I ever tasted was made from the hands of my mom (RIP).
Let me give you some context: My five siblings and I were just kids and we didn't have many resources at home. But my mom managed to work to give us the best and she always found something to do: she was a seamstress, so at home she fixed zippers, made hems of pants, sewed clothes; she made ice cream for sale, raised chickens and laying hens and sold the chickens and eggs... and so, she was always in activity. We never lacked for anything, we never had enough, but we were happy.

La mejor pizza que he comido es la que está hecha con amor, la que tiene sabor a hogar.
Les explico:
La primera pizza que probé fue hecha de las manos de mi mamá (QEPD).
Hago un poco de contexto: Mis cinco hermanos y yo éramos unos niños y no teníamos muchos recursos en casa. Pero mi mamá se las ingeniaba trabajando para darnos lo mejor y siempre encontraba qué hacer: era costurera, así que en casa arreglaba cierres, hacía ruedos de pantalones, cosía ropa; hacía helados para la venta, criaba pollos y gallinas ponedoras y vendía los pollos y los huevos... y así, siempre estaba en actividad. Nunca nos faltó nada, tampoco nos sobraba, pero éramos felices.
As I told you, my mother always strived to offer us the best. And one of her great qualities was cooking. She would teach us how to make some of her preparations little by little, with patience and love, preparing us for life.
One of the best moments we shared in the kitchen was making pizza. It was a party!!!! While she made the sauce, she let my older sisters help with the kneading, the younger ones had to organize some of the ingredients on the plates: olives, corn, or whatever ingredient we had at home.
And my fixed task when making pizza was to organize the mozzarella cheese and the ham; two ingredients that could never be missing in our homemade pizzas... it was almost a ritual for me to organize both ingredients in trays and then add them to the dough. I enjoyed it very much.
Como les dije, mi madre siempre se esmeraba por ofrecernos lo mejor. Y una de sus grandes cualidades era la cocina. Eso si, nos enseñaba a hacer poco a poco algunas de sus preparaciones, con paciencia y amor, nos iba preparando para la vida.
Uno de los mejores momentos que compartiamos en la cocina era hacer pizza. Era una fiesta!!!! Mientras ella hacia la salsa, dejaba que mis hermanas mayores ayudaran a amasar, a los menores les hacia organizar algunos ingredientes en los platos: las aceitunas, maiz, o el ingrediente que tuviésemos en casa.
Y mi labor fija al hacer pizza era organizar el queso mozzarella y el jamón; dos ingredientes que nunca podían faltar en nuestras pizzas caseras... era casi un rito para mi organizar ambos ingredientes en bandejas y luego añadirlas a a masa. Lo disfrutaba muchísimo.

And then came the crucial moment, the one we were all waiting for with joy. That of enjoying our homemade pizza!!!
It was the most delicious pizza in the world. Richer than the one prepared by the best pizza makers in the world (without detracting from the other pizzas hahaha). It was OUR PIZZA, the one prepared at home, with the hands of our mother and all the siblings. The one that has the taste of home, of love, of joy, of fraternity....
And from that moment on, when we get together, brothers and nephews and nieces, during special times, vacations and others, we try to replicate this experience so that the new generations can also live and enjoy it. Always with the nostalgia of those times eating the best pizza in the world.
The best pizza for me, the tastiest, the most special is and always will be, the one that is made with love.
This pizza has a special flavor, it is like coming home, feeling the love and dedication in every bite. The key is to prepare it with joy and share that moment with the people you love. The one that truly tastes like love and the warmth of home.
Y llegaba el momento crucial, el que todos esperábamos con alegría. El de disfrutar nuestra pizza casera!!!
Era la pizza mas deliciosa del mundo. Mas rica que la preparada por los mejores pizzeros del mundo (sin desmerecer a las otras pizzas jajaja) . Era NUESTRA PIZZA, la preparada en casa, con las manos de nuestra madre y de todos los hermanos. La que tiene sabor de hogar, de amor, de alegría, de fraternidad...
Y a partir de ese momento, cuando nos reunimos los hermanos y sobrinos en épocas especiales, de vacaciones y otras, tratamos de replicar esta experiencia para que las nuevas generaciones también la vivan y disfruten. Siempre con la añoranza de esos tiempos comiendo la mejor pizza del mundo.
La mejor pizza para mi, la mas sabrosa, la mas especial es y siempre será, aquella que se hace con amor.
Esta pizza tiene un sabor especial, es como volver a casa, sentir el cariño y la dedicación en cada bocado. La clave está en prepararla con alegría y compartir ese momento con las personas que amas. La que verdaderamente sabe a amor y calor de hogar.
La Pizza es poesía
Ya saben ustedes cómo me encanta la poesía, la disfruto y me deleito en ella. Y con tantas añoranzas fluyeron estos breves versos que llevan en su esencia dos motivos:
Hacer un homenaje a mi madre que nos enseñó el valor del compartir y a hacer la PIZZA MAS SABROSA QUE HE COMIDO.
Agradecer al Equipo de Hive Pizza por esta iniciativa que me ha permitido, a mis compañeros y a mi, encontrar inspiración para escribir y en mi caso particular, hacer poesía. Encontrar magia en las palabras:
En el hogar encuentro mi abrigo,
un lugar donde el alma se acurruca.
La mejor pizza, hogar y abrigo,
sabores que reviven la añoranza.
En cada bocado siento nostalgia,
por esos momentos tan especiales.
La esencia de hogar, un canto a la vida,
la pizza que junta a familia y amigos.
La masa horneada con amor sincero,
el queso fundido, un lazo eterno.
Los sabores se mezclan en armonía,
unidos en cada rebanada y en cada sonrisa.
En cada mordisco vuelvo a revivir,
los abrazos, las risas, el compartir.
La mejor pizza, una mágica historia,
donde el sabor de hogar es la gloria.

Estoy de acuerdo contigo, si una persona decide hacer algo con amor, cosas increíbles siempre pasan (como conquistar hasta el más refinado paladar con una suculenta pizza)
Amor es el único ingrediente indispensable en toda buena receta y por eso espero que nunca falte un tarro bien lleno en tu estante de especias.
