Neon Strike - HP Delegation Program With Potential 44% APR!

It has been about a month since I updated on my progress in Neon Strike. You can read about my earlier posts:

As always, it's good to review and take stock of projects that I am involved once in a while and a monthly frequency seems to be a good timeframe. Of course, before I begin, special thanks to @jim-crypto and @taradraz1 for making this post possible, because without them, I wouldn't have a chance to try out Neon Strike, which I believe is currently in the Alpha phase.

Before we go into the discussion of the game, there's big news for @midnight-studio! They have started their HP Delegation Programme, which you can read about it here.

We want to start the HP DELEGATION program, the first thing we want to point out is that we have an amount of NEON that will be rewarded based on the HP delegated to the account @midnight-studio, in the following table we will show the amount of daily NEON generated based on the HP, and also the weekly NEON generated.

REWARDS WILL BE SENT TO THE DELEGATORS AT THE END OF THE WEEK

You can delegate different amounts than those shown below and the rewards will be adjusted respectively. Up to a limit of 1000 HP, to maintain a maximum generation with the HP delegation

The objectives of the program are, to increase the vote of the @midnight-studio account, to reward content creators who participate in the Content Curation Program, and to generate curation rewards which will be used to enhance the ecosystem and the utility in this case of the NEON Token.

And of course, I am always happen to support awesome projects like these. So I have delegated 60 HP to @midnight-studio! At time of writing, they have gotten about 1.4k HP of delegation so it's a good start!

To provide further support, I have also set @midnight-studio as a 5% beneficiary of this post's rewards. :)

For those who are keen to do the math, let's assume you delegate 100 HP, you get 210 NEON per week, which could fetch 0.861 Hive if you sell today at the market. And if you annualise it over 52 weeks, that's 44.8 Hive! On a base of 100 HP, that's 44.8% APR! (Of course, the key risk is whether the price can hold given the amount of NEON tokens distributed for this HP delegation, so one just has to take note of that.)

Alright, let's get back to the game itself!

To recap, I was given a complimentary NFT to try out this game, I have been playing this almost everyday! And after a few weeks, here's my early review. Initially, I think this was going to be a complicated game that required a lot of thinking (think Splinterlands) but I quickly realised that it's a very chill game. With my sole NFT, most of the effort can be done with a few clicks.

My Journey So Far

The 1st month saw me being restricted to doing Mission 1 because it's the only mission that is complimentary and the rest of the missions cost NEON tokens to unlock, but they give better rewards. Each mission takes 8 hours, and the NEON token rewards depend on the mission and the NFT Power. At the start, I was getting 19 NEON tokens each mission, and it slowly increased when my NFT levelled up.

The 2nd month was better because I managed to save up 700 NEON tokens to purchase Mission 2. This reinvestment allowed me to earn experience reward faster, level my NFT faster, which in turn generates more NEON token rewards.

The 3rd month, I reaped the benefits from my efforts in my first two months and it was fun to see the rate at which I was earning NEON tokens because my NFT was up to Level 6. During this period, I also noticed there were improvements to the game, major ones such as the Shop, minor ones such as the timer countdown in the missions, which were good for the user experience. So thumbs up to the team.

The 4th month, the grinding continued. My first NFT Kyle was up to Level 9 and I made my first purchase in the NFT market, buying a Legendary NFT at 25 SWAP.Hive. Hopefully I will be earning NEON tokens at a faster rate.

The 5th month (wow time flies indeed), it was more of a consolidation for me. I was focused on grinding my current 2 NFTs, especially my new Legendary! As of today, my first NFT Kyle is up to Level 10 and Centinel has climbed one level to Level 2. Because I had two NFTs, the accumulation of NEON tokens were faster and I am on my way to "recouping" the Hive spent on the Legendary NFT. Hehe!

Click To Earn?

So the question is, how much can one earn through this click to earn game? Let's look at the current prices on Tribaldex. Not much changes to the price of NEON since the last update, which is good actually, especially since Hive has increased substantially.One month ago, 100 NEON was trading at 0.40 to 0.61 Hive. Today, the same 100 NEON is trading at 0.41 to 0.60 Hive.

After about 5 months of playing, I have earned 4,652 NEON tokens, of which 700 NEON tokens went into the purchase of Mission 2, to collect NEON at a faster rate in the future. That's about 3,952 NEON tokens left. I have converted most of them into SWAP.HIVE.

For record purposes, I have accumulated about 23 Hive from the divestment of NEON tokens, which is almost the cost of 25 Hive for the Legendary NFT. But of course, these NFTs do have their values if I were to sell them on the market next time. Anyway, there's plenty of catch up to do in the coming weeks! :P

As you could probably see, this is not a get rich quick game (no games are like that), but the little NEON tokens stack up over time and it gives me flexibility to do things on Hive, be it buying missions in the game, or even converting and powering up my Hive Power. And I like that as the level of the NFT goes up, the rate of earning NEON is much faster too!

With that, I hope that gives a rough idea of how the game works, and what to expect from a returns perspective. That said, am still pretty new to this game so I am still learning and exploring. Do note that the game is still in Alpha phase so perhaps more stuff will appear too. Will share more if I find anything interesting later on. If you have any tips, let me know too!
