Neon Strike - Bought My 3rd NFT!
It has been about a month since I updated on my progress in Neon Strike. You can read about my earlier posts:

As always, it's good to review and take stock of projects that I am involved once in a while and a monthly frequency seems to be a good timeframe. Of course, before I begin, special thanks to @jim-crypto and @taradraz1 for making this post possible, because without them, I wouldn't have a chance to try out Neon Strike, which I believe is currently in the Alpha phase.
The main update this week is I bought my 3rd NFT! So now my team has 3 cards grinding the NEON tokens!
It's been close to 8 months since I bought the 2nd NFT to add to my team, so you might be wondering why the sudden thought of adding a 3rd one?
I have indeed been thinking for a while, given the amount of Hive I have accumulated from selling the NEON tokens that I have grinded from the daily missions. From a team perspective, if you see the logos, I had Kyle from the Iron Legion faction, Centinel from Automata faction, and I was missing someone from the Vandalz faction. So one day, while I was browsing the market, I came across Red Snow, which was just a Common NFT but it was from the Vandalz family that I was missing. The price was 7.5 Hive, which was not cheap but not expensive either, so I thought why not just give it a shot?
With that this means I have spent a total on 32.5 Hive on the NFTs in this game so far! So that's the main update for the month.
Before we go into the discussion of the game, let's look at the Leaderboard!
It's a competitive world out there. This month, I managed to increase 1 place from 29th to 28th in the rankings! Probably helped by my 3rd NFT in the team. It's nice to see new things pop up every now and then, while the development of the game not as fast as some games, they do have a working product in place and the progress is slow and steady.
Now onto my personal journey in the game itself!
To recap, I was given a complimentary NFT to try out this game, I have been playing this almost everyday! And after a few weeks, here's my early review. Initially, I think this was going to be a complicated game that required a lot of thinking (think Splinterlands) but I quickly realised that it's a very chill game. With my sole NFT, most of the effort can be done with a few clicks.

As you can see, the card designs have changed to the latest version! Looking much better. Lots of cards on sale in the market currently! But I will observe a little while more before I consider if there is a need for a new member to my team.
My Journey So Far
After 1 year of playing almost everyday, my two existing NFTs are up to Level 20 (last update: Level 19) and Level 15 (last update: Level 14) respectively. Of course, it's getting harder and harder to gain levels now. And then my new and 3rd NFT is up to Level 2 now.
It's very satisfying to look back and see how far I have come with my account. I started with just 1 NFT and then earned enough Hive to purchase a 2nd NFT (Legendary one!), then added a 3rd NFT this month, and now I have 3 NFTs completing missions on a daily basis for me.
Am excited to see what's coming up for the game later on, in the mean time, happy to continue grinding and accumulate more NEON and Hive so that I can purchase more Missions and NFTs if there is a need.

So the question is, how much can one earn through this click to earn game? Let's look at the current prices on Tribaldex. Not much changes to the price of NEON since the last update, which is good actually, especially since Hive has increased substantially. One month ago, 100 NEON was trading at 0.21 to 0.27 Hive. Today, the same 100 NEON is trading at 0.19 to 0.26 Hive. Pretty much similar with a smaller range but still very decent in price stability compared to most of the Layer 2 tokens, given that it has already been 12 months.
After about 12 months of playing, I have earned about 24,000 NEON tokens, of which 700 NEON tokens went into the purchase of Mission 2, to collect NEON at a faster rate in the future. That's about 23,300 NEON tokens left. I have converted most of them into SWAP.HIVE.
For record purposes, I have accumulated about 81 Hive from the divestment of NEON tokens, which is already above the cost of 32.50 Hive for the two NFT that I have purchased. In addition, these NFTs do have their values if I were to sell them on the market next time. :P
As you could probably see, this is not a get rich quick game (no games are like that), but the little NEON tokens stack up over time and it gives me flexibility to do things on Hive, be it buying missions in the game, or even converting and powering up my Hive Power. And I like that as the level of the NFT goes up, the rate of earning NEON is much faster too!
With that, I hope that gives a rough idea of how the game works, and what to expect from a returns perspective. Do note that the game is still in Alpha phase so perhaps more stuff will appear too. Will share more if I find anything interesting later on. If you have any tips, let me know too!
