The team impemented several updates to the game this week. These were earlier announced in a post and went live after maintenance. Among these are three big updates: Guild Library, new exclusive cards and partnership with Atomic Hub.

Guild Library

The Guild Library is the latest building in the guild. What it does is similar to libraries where you can borrow books, here you can borrow cards. Players who have excess cards can deposit their cards to the library. The amount of cards deposited starts at fifty and can be increased to as much as five hundred by upgrading the building. Other players can then borrow cards from the library. Cards placed in the library act exactly like delegated cards, so borrowers can use them seamlessly in gameplay. he The Guild Library strengthens teamwork by making it easier to share resources, support newer players, and optimize guild performance. It's a big step forward in making guilds more interactive and strategic.

Exclusive Cards

I've written about this in a previous post when it was announced. The update introduces a Triple Voucher Card Release, bringing three brand-new exclusive cards into the game. A Common, Rare and Legendary with each one is designed to offer unique abilities, distinct roles and new strategic options for players. Instead of a single release, this triple drop expands deck building possibilities across different rarity levels.

Atomic Hub

AtomicHub is one of the largest NFT marketplaces built on the WAX blockchain. I remember it was popular with its flagship play2earn game, Alienworlds. Aside from Alienworld NFTs, the marketplace hosts a number of collectible NFTs. I also remember that Splinterlands cards as well as land was traded in Atomichub as well but these stopped at Chaos Legion set. Now the team has announced a new partnership and I'm guessing this means newer card sets after Chaos Legion will become available in Atomichub.

This partnership is huge because Atomichub has thousands if not millions of users that may be attracted to play Splinterlands seeing as how it's the number one game on the Hive blockchain and one of the best trading card games in the web3 space. Atomichub will act as a gateway for new players to discover Splinterlands. This also means that players will not be locked in one blockchain. They can trade assets in Wax or in Hive. On the other hand, the Wax token and its sister EOS has been delisted on Hive-Engine and I would hope they get relisted again so that Wax users can bring their assets on Hive and benefit the blockchain as well.

Closing Thoughts

The team continues to innovate and upgrade our game and ecosystem. The addition of the Guild Lending Library, new exclusive cards, and expanded access through AtomicHub is a testament of the team's hardwork and vision to improve our game and invite new players. Splinterlands continues to evolve into a more connected and rewarding ecosystem where collaboration and accessibility go hand in hand.
