The Splinterlands team announced on discord two new exciting updates to the game. The Easter event, Eggstravaganza and season four of Survival Mode.

Eggstravaganza

Similar to previous events, the Eggstravaganza event is a limited time Easter celebration focused on unlocking skins and a new ruleset. Players can gather and open magical eggs that contain a variety of surprises including exclusive seasonal items. Similar to previous events like Holloween, there will be thirty two themed skins featuring standard skins (Pastel) and premium skins (Bunnified) for selected sixteen characters.

These skins and cosmetics can be obtained through the in game shop using currencies like DEC or Glint, as well as through ranked play reward chests. The event also adds skins for Avatars and a spring themed battlefield that enhances the visual experience.

The Eggceleration ruleset gives all units gain +1 to their stats each round, increasing stats like the Bloodlust ability. This ruleset favors units with high survivability and health.

Survival Mode S4

Another update is season 4 of Survival Mode. It reconstructs rewards including a forty million (40m) Glint reward pool and a Champion's Cup tournament for the top twenty five players in each bracket.

Survival Bonus Card

For collectors, this will be a sought after reward in the Survival Mode. There will be a special card, Dark Guard Hellion that looks super strong. It's only a common card but look at its stats and abilities! It's a nine mana card of Death and Fire splinter. At maxed level it deals five melee damage, has eight health and super fast with five speed. It's abilities include Flying making it useful in Earthquake rulesets. It also has Enrage that increases its attack and speed when not in full health. For survivability, it has both Scavenger that increases health by one for each unit (allies or enemy) that gets defeated and Life Leech that adds health by 50% of damage dealt. Finally, it has Bloodlust that increases stats each time it defeats an enemy.

To earn one card, a player must have played over one hundred battles and end with more than fifty per cent win rate. Being a common card, it will take a long time to max this card but it's worth it.

Closing Thoughts

The Splinterlands team continue to improve our game with constant updates and utility and burning mechanism for tokens. It's a step in the right with exciting seasonal events like Eggstravaganza and with improvements in Survival Mode Season 4. These events are exciting for players and collectors alike. For sure, I'll be buying some of the skins though I'll be missing out on the Survival Mode.
