Splinterlands End of Season 93: Rank 63 in Gold League!

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog! Season 93 has just finished. I made it to Gold II League this time and was in rank 63. I earned an extra 12,500 glints as a reward for making it to the top 100 with one hundred ninety one wins out of three hundred eighty three battles (191/383).

Reward Chests Purchase

I have over 169k glint rewards and same as last season, I decided to buy rare chests. My goal is to upgrade my rare cards to level four, the max level for Silver League. I bought in batches of thirty chests. The first batch allowed me to upgrade a number of cards. This brings those cards to level four, my target level for my rare cards.

Seeing that I already reached my desired level, I bought just twenty chests for the next batch. Only one card was upgraded to four.

Another twenty chests brought me the following cards. Three more cards were upgraded to level four.

Most of my rare cards have already reached level four except for two cards. So I spent the rest of my glints on four epic chests.

I consider this pull lucky since I was able to upgrade two cards.

Notable Upgrades

Level four is a sweet spot for rare cards. They either increase their attack stats or gain new abilities. Here are the cards I upgraded that gained useful abilities or increased their attack.

Grove Doomblade

Grove Doomblade gains Stun ability. If it procs, the target will lose a turn next round.

Surgehammer Djinn

Surgehammer Djinn gained an important ability that's possessed by few cards in Modern: Cleanse. I just wrote about it in my last post highlighting the Time Bandit. Cleanse is a powerful ability that removes the effects of Poison and Burning.

Anchor Hex Adept

Anchor Hex Adept gains the Void Armor ability, making it a good unit to use in Wands Out ruleset.

Gravebrand Warlock

Gravebrand Warlock gained one of my favorite abilities: Execute. This enables it to attack twice in a round if conditions were met (its target's health drop to two or below after a successful attack).

The other cards didn't gain abilities but added their attack.

Careless BadgerWithered Old SageSwampwroughtSaltwraith Bulkhead

I'm reached most of my goals on my rare cards. For next season, I'll focus more on either bringing the common cards to level five or buying more epic chests.
