Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog! Season 91 has just finished. I finished the season at rank in fifty seven in Gold III League. This is the first time in a long while that I made it to Gold League. I used SplinterStats to generate the following data.

Performance

I finished the season in rank fifty seven of Modern Gold III League. I earned 6,250 bonus glints for making it to the top 100 of the season. The new Escalation cards and core cards I bought from the market helped me win battles. I hope I can continue the same performance in the next season.

Rewards Earned

My SPS rewards had a huge boost owing to my better performance this season. I earned 273 SPS from ranked battles alone. For Glints, I had over 120k to spend. I used it to buy two hundred minor chests.

SPS Rewards

I earned four hundred sixty six SPS, more than double compared to last season's two hundred eleven. The huge boosts came from ranked and brawl reward that increased significantly this season.

Buying Minor Chests

I spent my glints to but two hundred minor chests. I changed my plan from buying epic reward cards because I wanted to upgrade my commons and rares first in preparation for Brackets coming to Modern. I bought minor chests hoping to get at least one epic or legendary but luck was not on my side. I only got regular foil commons and rares. On the bright side, I was able to upgrade some common and rare cards.

Featured Battle

The battle features my elf Earth team. I recently levelled up my archon to four and now I'm aiming to level up my units as well. Kaylia Silverleaf is my favorite archon from the core set because of her Execute ability she grants to elves. My team is usually composed of a strong tank followed by elven units. I changed it up a little by including the Forlorn Geomant in the team. His five magic damage is a huge contribution to my team's damage potential.

The enemy had a level to Captain Frankie archon and had the beefy Der Gottem Gearnut at tank. HIs twenty health at level one makes him tough to beat. This Gearnut even has six melee attack boosted by multiple units with Inspire ability. In the first round, the enemy defeated my Taunt unit but my Warborn Chieftain's Dispel removed Gearnut's attack boost. Dispel is an ability I usually dismiss but in today's battle it proved to be crucial. Next, Grove Doomblade and Forlorn Geomant teamed up with a total of ten attack to bring down Gearnut. After the enemy tank was disposed, the fight became easier and my team won the battle.
