Silverblade Fighter Breakdown: Stats, Abilities and Battle
Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog. In today's post, we're doing a deep dive into one of best rare tanks that came from the Rebellion set: the Silverblade Fighter. We'll check out its lore, stats and abilities as well as role in battle.
Lore
The Order of the Silver Shield is the institution that governs the Kingdom of Khymia. They blend military power and spiritual authority. It functions not only as a knighthood sworn to protect the kingdom and enforce its laws, but also as the priesthood that oversees the worship and doctrines of the goddess Khymia.
The order is led by the Grand Prior and supported by leaders responsible for judicial, legislative, and administrative affairs. The knights and archers make up its disciplined military forces. On the other hand, bishops and priests guide the spiritual life of the people. Together, they shape Khymian society around values of bravery, discipline, and devotion, though rumors of power being misused remain.

Stats and Abilities
The Silverblade Fighter is a six mana light splinter tank. He deals three melee damage and has four speed. He has hefty defense of seven armor and six health. His abilities complement his role as a tank. He has Flank which enables another tank to gain the Reach ability from second position. He also has Void Armor, giving him defense against magic attacks. At higher levels, he gains a support ability, Protect, granting two armor stats to all allies.
At level three, players with limited budget can already have a lot of value from the Silverblade Fighter. He will have decent stats and abilities at that level.
Role in Battle and Combos
The role of Silvershield Fighter is a low mana tank. He deals decent damage but also boast of hefty defense. In addition, his abilities allow for more defense by allowing another tank to attack in second position. His best combo units are strong tanks like Leolin Sifu or Saltwraith Bulkhead. Since he's of elven bloodline, he can be summoned by the Conclave Arcana Earth archon to pair with Earth tanks like Warborn Chieftain or Skrag the Gnaw. Together with these tanks in second position, they form a formidable frontline that combines offense and defense.

Featured Battle
Today's battle is one of the top in the gold league. Player IELLAS94 had the Silverblade Fighter in his team. He had the legendary archon Eternal Tofu granting Thorns ability to his team. Saltwraith Bulkhead was the combo tank of Silverblade Fighter in second position. In third, he had Taye Loreswift giving additional attacks to allied melee units. In third, he had Decrepit Windseer who deals two ranged damage and has the Bloodline Tribute ability, granting buffs to all allied elves when she gets defeated. In fourth, he had a support unit Meriput Magician. It has Tank Heal and Strengthen abilities among others. The archon also granted it Triage and Scavenger abilities. In last, he had a dual attack unit Anachron Bolter who also has a Repair ability to support the tank. Overall his team was well built and has great synergy.
His enemy had a team I usually use. It's led by the Earth archon and composed mostly of elves to take advantage of the Execute ability granted by the archon to all elves. This team is also well formed but it's focused mostly on offense. It had no healer and other support units and this was his disadvantage. IELLAS94's team had better synergy combining offense, defense and support with healing, triage and repair making his units more sturdy on defense.
Final Thoughts
The Silverblade Fighter is one of the best tanks combining offense and defense. Unfortunately, there are not many units for sale in the market. If you're interested in this unit but have limited budget, you can already have value from a level two having both Flank and Void Armor abilities while having decent stats.
