Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
We have just finished another brawl. Unfortunately, we still cannot escape cellars that we're buried in. We finished the brawl among the bottom dwellers at rank seven, although it's a bit of an improvement from last week's rank eight. In today’s post, I’ll share a breakdown of our overall brawl results, highlight my personal contribution and feature a couple of my favorite battles.

We ranked in seventh place which was near the bottom of the standings. Our guild scored seventy four wins against eighty eight losses, earning eighty one crowns that we can use to improve our buildings.

My own performance was not good either. I only scored five wins out of nine battles. Each of us who joined the brawl earned 4k merits and 39 SPS. It's not as high a previous weeks but its a decent haul just for playing brawls.

The first battle had Even Stevens ruleset and was capped at low mana of twenty eight. I chose Earth splinter with the elf archon, Kaylia Silverleaf. I picked Quora in the first position followed by an all elf line up. There were not many choices in this battle because of the limited mana. Thanalorian Blade is a melee card with Opportunity and Execute abilities on her own. Silverleaf Warlock is a mage that boosts the team's speed by one while my zero mana elf card, Kyraseth was a nice addition to the team.
The enemy had a legendary card Elias Max Pruitt. Incidentally, he needs seven mana further decreasing his choices. He had a couple of no attack units in between Moxian Rebel who has Weapons Training ability. He also had Olivia of the Brook, the first card to have the Mimic ability and lastly, he had the Henchling Enforcer who halves his target's attack. He had five cards laid on the table against my four. My Quora is a strong tank and triggered her bloodlust increasing her stats further while my elves took advantage of their Execute ability to decimate the enemy.

The next battle is also for twenty eight mana and had Heavy Metal and Global Warming rulesets. It's limiting and punishing at the same time. I had to choose cards with higher health to deal with Global Warming while also managing the mana cap. I chose the Fire Splinter with Fithe Bladestone archon. He grants two armor to the team further making them more defensive. This is a low mana battle so I had the Cavewise Wayfinder and Vicious Giraffe two tank combo. This is double edged since aside from Reckless, Giraffe will also be hurt by burning. It will increase his power but decrease his health faster. In third position I had a magic unit, Emberguard. She has seven health to sustain her and also Demoralize ability which decreases the enemy's melee attack. In last I had Chaos Evoker, a common magic unit that has the Blast ability.
The enemy had Avina of the Wolf archon. His tank was Grimbardun Fighter followed by gladiator Marisol Contuma. His third and last card was Silverleaf Ranger, a card with Double Strike ability. My team got the first kill and eliminated the enemy's Ranger. The burning status killed the enemy's tank and my Giraffe. The battle was left to the enemy's gladiator against three of my units. Even though it was a sole card, it was strong and had self heal ability from the archon. It was a narrow victory by my team.
