Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
Our guild just finished another brawl. Unfortunately, we are back in the cellars. We placed eighth out of nine guilds who joined the brawl. In today’s post, I’ll be sharing a breakdown of our overall brawl results, my personal contribution and my favorite battle.

We are at the bottom of the standings again, ranking eighth out of nine competitors. Our guild earned 81 crowns which we can use to improve our guild buildings. Our performance as a guild needs a lot of improvement as our win rate is below 50%. We won 68 battles but lost 76.

As for my own performance, I won six battles out of eight and contributed eighteen points. Each of us who joined the brawl earned 4.2k merits and 46 SPS.

My featured battle includes one of the new Escalation cards that I've been regularly using in Modern mode. I got some cards from Escalation pack pre sale and now I'm upgrading them by buying from the market. The rulesets included Keep Your Distance and Arcane Dampening so it made sense to use mostly ranged units. I chose the Dragon archon Kavor Skarn and the rest of my units were as follows.
Ulundin Overseer is a no attack card but makes up for it by being very beefy. Mine is only a level one but it has five armor and twelve health. I just bought a level two Shiraza with Weapons Training ability. I can't wait to pair it with no attack cards like Ulundin Overseer.

Silver Shield Sentry is a new Escalation card. It deals three range damage and has two speed. On defense it has an armor and five health. It has the Close Range ability making it a good unit to use under these rulesets. I'll buy more copies to upgrade mine to four where it will have the Bulwark ability.
Pixie Knife Hurler is another range card with Close Range ability. It deals two range damage, has two armor, six health and two speed. Further, it has a Dodge ability for additional defense.
Captain Katie is my gladiator card. Even though the ruleset included Arcane Dampening, her remaining two magic damage is still enough on offense.
I included the three mana Ujurak Elder for her Strengthen ability that adds one health to all units.
Calabash Sage deals four range damage which is great in this ruleset. I put him in last position to catch sneak attackers. He has the Shield ability that decreases physical attacks.
The enemy team was not that challenging. He had a range unit with no Close Range ability serving as tank. His units also had lower damage output than mine.

Start your Splinterlands adventure today with my referral. You can play the game for free in the Frontier Mode or take your game to the next level by purchasing a spellbook. Buying a spellbook allows you to earn SPS tokens and use the market to sell in game assets. Also, we will both get 500 Credits which can be used top purchase cards once you buy a spellbook.
