Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!

We have just finished another brawl. This week, our guild showed solid improvement. We climb to fourth place after finishing fifth last week. In today’s post, I’ll share a breakdown of our overall brawl results, highlight my personal contribution and feature some of my favorite battles.

Guild Rank and Performance

We finished the brawl in fourth place. A small improvement from last week's fourth. We won one hundred seven battles and lost fifty five. Our guild earned one hundred nine crowns which we can use to improve our guild buildings.

My own contribution improved tremendously from last week. I contributed five wins out of nine battles for a solid performance. Each of us earned 5.7k merits and 60 SPS.

Featured Battles

Battle 1 - Countering Quora

Quora is one of the most versatile cards not just among gladiators. Her dual attack, healing and health can make her play in any position. Because of her high health and healing, she is usually found in the tank position and it's not easy to find a solution for her. The team that has Quora usually has the advantage. There is one card that seems like created to counter her: Xulax Nightwind.

Xulax Nightwind has the defensive tools that makes him a bane to Quora's attacks. He has Void Armor that blocks Quora's magic attacks and he has Thorns that returns Quora's melee damage. Couple those with his own attack of four melee damage and he can whittle Quora's high health.

To help sustain him, I teamed him with a healer, Arachne Weaver. This is the combo I used to defeat the enemy's team.

Battle 2 - Earth vs Water

In this battle, I take advantage of my higher level Earth archon that unlocked my unit's abilities. I recently bought cards to level her up to four.

Quilliun Legionary gained access to his Void ability, decreasing magic attacks. My level five Katrelba Gobson got to use all her abilities and Ujurak Elder unlocked her Strengthen ability that benefited the team with one health stat.

The enemy only had a level one archon and underpowered units. My units had access to more abilities and higher stats that gave me the advantage in this battle.
