Heloise d'Armand's dark ascension

Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog! My post today was inspired by @captaindingus SplinterRoast post for users of Heloise the Hollow 😀. Heloise the Hollow was a promo card released last year. It was obtained by bidding and each copy cost thousands of dollars. She has a very well thought out and deep lore that complements her abilities.

Lore

Heloise the Hollow has a dark and tragic lore that is one of my favorites. In short: she won by betraying her own people. After accepting a bargain with the dark god Uul, she gained victory by sacrificing the Dawnbringers, the loyal comrades who had fought beside her. She allowed their life force to be drained into herself, trading their lives for overwhelming power. She reminds me of Griffith, from the Berserk manga who betrayed his comrades to gain power.

Stats and Abilities

Heloise the Hollow comes out at maximum level. If you have a copy of her, it's a must that you use a maxed out archon as well to have full access to all her abilities. They are very powerful and have synergy with each other particularly the following:

• Spite - 100% chance to counterattack when she gets defeated.
• Soul Siphon - Self resurrects with 100% armor and 50% health with all magic buffs applied and debuffs removed as long as she has allies to take life from.
• Last Word - This ability takes the cake since it makes her immune to Final Rest, the only ability that could counter Soul Siphon.

Further she deals a huge eight melee damage and targets the enemy with lowest health with her Opportunity ability. She also draws attack ensuring that her Soul Siphon and Spite abilities will trigger.

Role in Battle

Heloise the Hollow is like the huge cannon you bring in to battle to destroy everything in her path. Bring her to battle with units that can buff and support her with healing, repair or inspire abilities. Units that debuff the enemy team can also be a great combo to her while she does her job as your main damage dealer.

Featured Battle

This battle is in the top standings with SUPERMUFFIN having Heloise the Hollow in his team. He had the Dragon Nidhoggr for archon who debuffed the enemy's health and armor while providing Blast and Deathblow abilities to three units. He placed Heloise as tank followed by Taye Loreswift who increased melee attacks of all allied units with Inspire. Next is Deep Delver who has a healing ability to further support Heloise. In fourth position is just a common unit, Bristleborn Brigand. It's role is to decrease the enemy's melee attack with its Demoralize ability. In fifth position is another common unit, Broken Earth Thug who also has the Opportunity ability. Last is Craniax the Quick, who has the Impede ability to slow down his target.

His enemy was BRAVETOFU and accordingly used his namesake as archon, Eternal Tofu. He grants the Thorns ability to all units that counters Heloise. In first position, he has Der Gottem Gearnut who has one of the highest defensive stats in the game. So it's a battle between the most offensive unit against the most defensive unit in the tank position. Next is the epic unit Halfling Refugee who at this level does five melee damage. In third is a legendary support unit, Sira. In fourth he had a unit that has tank heal ability to support the already defensive Gearnut. In fifth is an exciting unit, Olivia of the Brook. I was hoping to see her mimic Heloise's abilities and we will have an interesting battle. Last was a zero mana unit that grants an additional health stat to allies.

The battle was fun to watch. Heloise died and got resurrected plenty of times while also dealing damage to the enemy with her Spite ability. It's a shame Olivia wasn't able to Mimic her overpowered abilities to make the battle more even. It was clear that Heloise is overpowered and I will spam her too if I had her in my team.
