Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome back to my blog!
Since the Conclave Arcana set came out, the Earth splinter and Elf bloodline is my favorite since the Earth archon grants one of the powerful abilities in the game: Execute.

This means that elves and units with Shapeshift abilities in the team will have the Execute ability.

Execute is similar to Double Strike ability once conditions are met. If the target has two or less health after a successful attack, another attack is performed against the same unit.
This means your team will have a chance to eliminate a target whose health has fallen two or less thereby reducing enemy attackers in the next round. There are a lot of elves that can benefit from this ability when summoned by the Earth archon but there are also units that have this ability by themselves.

Thunderous Herald is a common card of the Life splinter. It gets the Execute ability at maxed level. Consequently, Silver level players like me who only have this card at level four or five will not have this ability. Diamond level players will be able to benefit from this ability. Other common cards that will have Execute at maximum levels are Fenmoor Gorgon and Grim Bonewhip.

An epic card that gets Execute ability at max level is another Life splinter, Leolin Sifu.

Owlkin Geodist is a rare card from the Life splinter. This card gets the ability at level one so low level players like me can have access to the ability. I would suggest to upgrade it at least to level two so that the attack will be two magic damage. Level one only has one magic damage and will not benefit much from the ability.

Gravebrand Warlock is a rare Death splinter card. It gets the Execute ability starting from level four which is the maximum level for Silver players. This gives Silver level players an incentive and motivation to raise the card at level four.

Nessa is a legendary card that gets the Execute ability at level three or Gold level. Another legendary card to get it at level three is Zyrx the Emberglace.

Few cards get the execute ability at Silver level so it's best to use Kaylia Silverleaf archon together with elf cards or cards with Shapeshift ability.
This battle shows how Execute can give you an advantage. I was against a higher level player who had a max level archon and higher level cards. We used the same archon and similar cards. The only difference was I had three units in my team who were able to get the Execute ability from the archon.

In tank position was Quilliun Legionary who is an effective tank against melee and magic attackers. It has Thorns ability that returns damage to melee units and Void that decreases magic attacks. In second position, I had the Thanalorian Blade who has Execute ability by herself. She also has Opportunity that targets low mana enemy units, raising the chance to trigger Execute. Next is the Forlorn Geomant, a high mana card that deals five magic damage. In fourth position is Bren Palesworn who has the Shapeshift ability and benefits from the archon's Bloodline Tribute ability. In fifth is Husk of the Hunter who has the ability to dampen the enemy's range attack by one. Lastly, I have another elf, Silverleaf Mage who is also my Taunt unit.
The enemy had a max level archon and some of his units are also at max level. On the other hand, he didn't have any elf on the team. Although his units have access to powerful abilities, they didn't have Execute. This allowed my units to attack twice in some rounds when conditions were met and had the chance to eliminate the enemy units quickly. This paved the way for winning against an otherwise difficult and stronger enemy.
