Hello Splinterlands summoners and welcome to my blog! The pre sale for the new Conclave Arcana mini set is now live in the shop. The pre sale will run and is set to expire in less than twelve days. Players have several ways to pay for the pre sale.

Escalation Mini Set

The Escalation mini set brings new cards and abilities and will surely shake the current meta. The set includes forty three new cards composed of twelve common, twelve rare, eight epic and eleven legendary cards. The odds of getting a legendary is 0.8%, epic 4%, rare 20%, common 75.2% and gold foil 2%. As usual, potions double the chances of getting a legendary, epic and gold foils. Introduced in Conclave Arcana, ultra rare black foil cards can also be obtained but the chances are slim.

Payment Options and Why Choose SPS

Each pack costs $5 and there are several options to pay for them.

I participated in the pre sale and bought twenty packs. I used SPS which is most economical compared to DEC or CREDITS. SPS cost $0.0063 in the market. This means that each pack only cost around $2.2 which is a huge discount compared to paying with $5. DEC is the second best option which is around $3 per pack.

Benefits of Buying in the Pre Sale

There are several benefits in buying early and participating in the pre sale.

Promo Cards

Buying packs in the pre sale qualifies buyers to earn promo cards that cannot be obtained in the general sale. The cards are Doldrus (rare) and Portia Nyr (legendary).

Doldrus is a dual splinter, rare card with five abilities. It has no attack but is a good support card.

Portia Nyr, the legendary card is neutral and boasts of four magic attacks and five abilities.

Both cards look useful and will find slots in our battles as they take on their roles as support and damage dealer. Both cards have the Shapeshift ability similar to previous promo cards in Conclave Arcana.

Leaderboard Rewards

Pre sale pack purchases earn points toward a leaderboard with special prizes and exclusive titles.

Top 1–6 can choose a Legendary Archon name, receive max-level foil bounds of it, a unique skin, and extra promo foils. Other high ranks also get Black Foil and Gold Foil promo cards and collectible titles. These leaderboard rewards are only available for pre sale participants and offer some of the rarest and most collectible prizes in the set.

Raffle Entries

Each pack bought in presale grants 1 raffle entry into a draw for ultra rare foil versions of the promo cards. These are the arcane versions of gold foil and black foils. For me, the chances of winning is low but at least there's a chance however slim that buyers in the pre sale can hope to obtain an ultra rare card.

Free Mage Wagons

From the twenty packs I bought, I'm surprised to receive a free mage wagon. This means that I can now join in Conflicts if I choose to do so. I thought at first that only buyers who spent $100 are qualified to receive mage wagons so this is a nice incentive for small players who participate in the pre sale.
