Introduction
Arcade Colony is about to release Stakehouse Den. Next game on the list to be released is Hyper-rail Blaster. Hyper-rail Blaster is a web3 arcade style shooter. It's story starts in a vibrant, neon-drenched world on Planet LVL‑42 where the Pricklepack Gang, a group of mischievous, energy-hungry extraterrestrials, have escaped containment and are wreaking havoc in the colony’s rail systems
We (players) assume control of Herbie, a retired maintenance droid awakened by the colony’s AI (PIX‑E), and must blast through waves of the spiky invaders to fend off their plot to seize the reactor core and spawn an unstoppable army.
Gameplay and Quarks Currency
Players can use the spacebar to shoot incoming Pricklepacks, starting each session with three lives. Each wave spawns an increasing number of enemies with greater health, and every third wave introduces a boss. Destroyed enemies divide into smaller targets, keeping the action dynamic and challenging. Defeated foes drop items such as health boosts, “Quarks” (the F2P currency), or power-ups like “Time Stop” which freezes enemies briefly.
After the first three free plays per day, sessions cost Quarks, which players can earn or purchase using SCRIPT or Credits at a price of 1 SCRIPT or 1,000 Credits for 1,000 Quarks.
COLONY Token Rewards and Roadmap
The project proposes an annual distribution of 15 million Colony tokens over a five-year span via the Arcade Colony DAO. 6m for gameplay, 6m for leaderboard rewards, and 3m for a jackpot. Gameplay rewards are calculated using “R‑shares,” a formula based on score and waves defeated, multiplied by staking multipliers. The leaderboard resets periodically with rewards for top performers, while the jackpot goes to anyone surpassing the all-time high score in a given interval .
Trial version of the game is available in the link below and the DAO Proposal for the rewards has already been approved. Next step is the integration with Arcade Colony as detailed in the below roadmap. Also in the plans are a Quarks shop & game rewards, beta launch, mobile versions (Google and Apple), NFTs, new power-ups, and expanded mechanics.
