Great tips that maybe you don't know about Kelya

Kelya's pentalogy

In this post I will share with you some of my most successful tips with my favorite summoner of Chaos Legion, Kelya! I feel very comfortable facing any single match with him as he has a set of tools and creatures that makes him suitable for almost every single battle condition. Will also add some battles with the circumstances that made me choose him! Hope you enjoy it!

Speed Meta

In my opinion, speed is the main attribute of the game. Ooze was the queen of creatures before Chaos Legion was released, as for just one mana u debuff 1 speed to the enemy team. Kelya increases +1 speed to all his creatures. We are in a kind of a game where hitting first is most of the time the first step to victory. And not only that, but it also increases the chance to dodge. In the game that follows, you can see how all my army hits first then the opponent (vs Thaddius). When his turn arrives, there are several attacks missed. Cobra Kai philosophy rules!

Beefy Units

I love Kelya because in almost every situation you'll have a tank suitable to lead your team to victory. As my most used tanks, you've got DiemonShark in one hand (great vs Physical and Ranged with a high-speed base that grants him surprising survivability), and my loved Oshannus (Magid destroyer with his Magic resistance). I the battle is higher in mana, Wave Brood performs a great work dividing fire between the front tank and his work as a back tank (In the example that I will share with you I didn't use Spirit Hoarder as a healer as I was on Snipping quest), that would my one of my best teams. Also, I would like to special mention, Igor. For just 2 mana he does a great job in certain battles as a secondary tank.

Great carries

If I write a post about Kelya, Deeplurker has to have its own deserved section. I love him. It is my favorite card of all the editions (still w8ting for the legend summoners!!!). All his stats allow him to take the objectives and approach your team to victory. If not prevented it can destroy alone an entire army. If prevented (taunting him with low health units), he can also do an interesting job. Opportunity is one of the best abilities of the game because the creature with this characteristic becomes somehow 'Intelligent' taking weaker objectives and growing in difficulty as the battle progresses. In the example that I follow, I bring you Deeplurker showtime, taking down an entire enemy team step by step (like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill!)

Battle conditions dominance

When planning your team with Kelya, take a look at the battle conditions. I can guarantee that you'll have the right support for the situation that you are facing. You've hot healers (Merdaali, Crustacean), back healers (Mandarin and Spirit Hoarder), and the +1 armor Kelya's bonus builds up great synergy with Scavo. Just one piece of advice, if the battle condition is about Magic hitting armor before health, Kelya and Scavo become unbeatable. In the example that I share with you, I got even luckier as Windeku's rival got stuck with my humble Ooze.

Double Bonus

If you choose him for your battle, most of the time will be useful to split your mana into more creatures that can distract enemies' attacks while you take the objectives. You'll attack faster than your rival does, you'll evade more attacks and you will have the extra resistance that armor brings. This effect becomes of more importance with creatures without armor, as armor soaks all the damage (unless it is not a piercing attack). In the example that I add, 2 creatures in the front get this buff and let my Opportunity and Sneak team conquer the victory!

Great article. Kelya is my favorite summoner too and I play a lot with water splint. Axemaster and Pelacor Bandit are two interesting cards to complete your analysis, IMO.

Kelya is very versatile and adapts to every situation. Pelacor Bandit is a great option also! Axemaster is not in the post because of budget. Cheers!
