Hello Splinterlands summoners and Hive gamers! There is an ongoing collaboration between Splinterlands and Dungeon Cities game. It's good to see collaborations between projects like this as it brings users of both games to try the other thus benefiting both games by inviting new users.

Splinterlands is well known and arguably one of the top web3 games. It has onboarded plenty of users including myself to Hive. It's a big game with support from whales that enabled it to survive and thrive in the crypto gaming space. Last year, the team introduced a new set and a slew of new features that even included a free to play version that increased users.
With the collaboration, Dungeon City players can use DEC in the game to purchase DXCT token. These tokens are pegged to one HBD and the exchange rate is 1000 DEC for 1 DXCT. The DXCT can then be used to purchase in game items within the Dungeon City game.
Aside from having a free key that cost $5, the benefit for Splinterlands players is that they can buy items at a huge discount since DEC is trading around 60% of its value while it's valued at $1 when exchanged with DXCT.
As for Splinterlands economy, all DEC used in Dungeon Cities in January is burned while 50% will be burned after January.

Dungeon Cities is a text based, RPG fantasy dungeon crawler game. Players will choose directions, fight monsters, gather loot and manage their character’s equipment, inventory and stamina. It has the bare bones of becoming a great RPG game if development continues. Being a fan of classic RPG and dungeon crawler games, I'm excited to see future developments of this game.
The benefit for Dungeon Cities is tapping to Splinterlands massive player base and invite them to come and try the game. Since Splinterlands is also in the same fantasy genre, Splinterlands players will feel right at home in Dungeon Cities.
My character is currently at level three. It takes time to level up with stamina easily depleted. At the moment, there is only one generic fighter character. I hope there will be classes in the future like magic, range and melee that specializes on some monster type. Maybe it's also possible to bring in more than one character in the dungeon.
These games complement each other, having similar RPG fantasy elements with a rich lore. Splinterlands is a fast paced game while Dungeon Cities offers a slower game play experience and character progression. Splinterlands is about card ownership and collection while Dungeon Cities is about character building, equipment and inventory management. Players can explore dungeons when they ran out of energy in Splinterlands and come back to Splinterlands when they ran out of stamina in Dungeon Cities.
There are more opportunities for both these games to collaborate.
The current collaboration is just scratching the surface in my opinion. There are more opportunities to make it more rewarding and engaging. How about cross game rewards for playing both games? For example, players can earn DXCT from playing Splinterlands while Dungeon Cities players can earn Glint tokens? There could also be a special collaboration card or NFTs that can be used in both games. Or how about Splinterlands characters that can aid players explore dungeons? These are just some ideas that came to my head to motivate players to play both games.

Good luck trying the new game. I am so occupied with all the different ways to engage and play within Splinterlands, I don't have much free time to explore any other games.
I like these type of games. Btw, Splinterlands is releasing music NFTs. That's right up Risingstargame's alley. 😀
