A family weekend to remember: a glorious day in the house of God

Greeting all, hope we had a lovely week. Welcome to another weekend and welcome to my blog.

So last Sunday we had a family weekend in church, it's actually my first time attending family weekend in the Redeem Christian Church of God. This family weekend is a day where every family comes to showcase what they can do. But this one was actually different because they shared each family into groups so you have to work with other families.

We had so many lovely and beautiful celebrations. There were two family that acted a short drama for us, showing us the importance of always having God in your life, a family that starts with God and ends with God will always succeed. The drama was short but was encouraging, and what happens when you don't put God first or think about your family.

The drama goes like this: a family of 3, the mother and two children, the mother was thinking about what they will eat when tye children come back from school because they went to school hungry, few minutes later, the children came home because they were sent home from school because they haven't paid their fees. The mother was crying and didn't know what to do, other than pray.

She encouraged her children to always pray no matter what, that they have nothing to do than to pray and they started praying. While praying, one of her siblings abroad called and sent her some dollars to sort every pressing problem she had. That's how her financial story changed, she said to her children to always think about what just happened that they should always seek God first.

Another family acted a drama, that showed what it's like to ignore your family and God. Their son followed bad gang in primary school and the mom was an Instagram and TikTok freak, always posting the latest, all her attention were always in her phone. The boy ended up dead in just 100level in the university, when he joined cult and disobeyed the leader who killed him in an instant. The parents were informed and the mom didn't know what to do because she neglected her duties at home and also neglected God.

During the family weekend, some couples were called up to participate in a competition, the men were asked to tie their wives gele and the women were asked to knot their husbands ties. It was really funny because the gele and ties were funny looking. Some women tried while some men tried also.

We had choreography and memory verse presentation by the kids. The drummers were awesome, without singing they gave us beats that we were forced to danced to. It was truly an awesome day, the choir wasn't left out also. The gave us wonderful songs that moved mountains and moved us from our seats to our feet.

We also had the dancing family, here we had mostly mothers who came to show us their dancing steps, I was really wowed when I saw a woman move her waist and her body. Infact that day was a glorious day and I thank God for that day. I'm actually looking forward to the next family weekend.
