What Does The Bible Say About Names?- MCGI TOPIC REVIEW

It is our belief that Bible is the holy book of God written as a guide, instruction and consist of life and practical examples that we are supposed to emulate and hold unto to journey through our life.

In this course, Christians tends to name children after the names of great and amazing people in the Bible whom we have read about them to have done great and mighty things in the word of God.

I went to a naming ceremony one day and after the whole singing and the word of God, it was time to the baby girl names and then I heard MORDECAI. How and the reason behind such name I can't say because I couldn't ask.

One thing is certain that we all want to make our children after great people of faith in the Bible but little did we know that there are still most people who did great things and their names are not mentioned in the Bible because THE BIBLE IS NOT A BOOK OF NAMES but the word of God that we are supposed to meditate therein day and night and make use of the words from it as our guide or as weapon in times of challenges.

Let's look at the small prophet whom the king pointed at to ridicule but his hand got dried instantly. Was his name recorded in the Bible? No! because it is not originally made for us as a record of names.

Bro Eli mentioned the part where many movies and books have been made to describe the powerful of which some of the scenes were either omitted or misinterpreted and that is why we must know the word of God so that none of it will be used in confusing us of shaking us off our feet in faith.
