Happy Lord's Day and hope we had a great service in God's presence
Promoting peace is a thing of God and that is why even at the end of every war in the land of Israel from the Bible, he would request them of a burnt offering which comes with signifying peace after a turbulence.
"Blessed are the peacemaker..." is his word because he values peace so much that he wants to bless whoever activate peace wherever they find themselves.
It's funny how we claim to be christ-like or his followers but we don't want to emulate this part of him as a peaceful Lord. I could remember vividly how we would always tease ourselves over a statement that the Lord taught the disciples with and that is the fact that when they are slapped on the right ear then they should turn the left ear to get slapped.

This is not because we are fools but because we are followers of Christ and we must emulate this peaceful life that he lived while on earth. Though we may be emulating him but then, the rewards or benefits still belongs to us because if we are not peaceful, and we ended up in a physical fight with anyone or get involved in a violence or riot, who gets hurt, injured or even lose anything in the process? It still is.
Let us be preachers of peace wherever we may find ourselves and above all, for every commandments he gave us, we're still the beneficiary of the end product
