Come To The Throne Of Grace

Yesterday, I created a playlist on 3Speak. It's called The Best of Crypto Migrant Suno V5.5. The first video I uploaded is It Is I, the story about a realization that the "self" is one's biggest obstacle to experiencing freedom and peace.

This second video, Come To The Throne of Grace, received its inspiration from the Homiletics class of @kopiko-blanca, which he delivered during the 2nd Semester Academic Year 2023-2024. After preaching the message in his class, he first delivered it at Redeemer Christian Church in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, Philippines. Later, he gave me a copy of his sermon to be published here on Hive under his personal account. Since his manuscript is long, I divided it into four separate articles and published them on PeakD:https://peakd.com/hive-173575/@kopiko-blanca/approaching-the-throne-of-grace-with-confidence-amidst-life-and-ideological-challenges-huy

The lyrics in this song are taken from the summary of the four articles above. The central idea is about Jesus as the Great High Priest. He can help those who come to Him because of who He is and what He does. He is the Great High Priest and the Son of God. He also passed through the heavens, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and promises mercy and grace.

In view of the above truths, God expects us to hold fast our confession and to approach his throne with confidence. Holding fast our confession would mean affirming our faith together with the body of Christ, standing firm amidst authoritarian hostility, and speaking openly against claims and ideologies that distort the gospel.

Here are the lyrics of the song:

[Verse 1]
Beyond the veil, beyond the heavens,
There is a throne of endless grace.
Not a throne of fear and judgment,
But the throne where mercy waits.
Jesus, Son of God eternal,
Yet He knows our human pain.
He has walked the road of sorrow,
He has felt our tears and shame.
[Pre-Chorus]
So when my heart is weak and trembling,
When I don't know what to pray,
I will lift my eyes to Jesus—
He will never turn away.
[Chorus]
Come to the throne of grace,
Come with your broken heart.
Come with your fears and failures,
Come just as you are.
There is mercy for the wounded,
There is grace for every need.
Jesus, our Great High Priest,
Forever intercedes.
[Verse 2]
He was tempted, He was tested,
Yet He never bowed to sin.
He knows every human weakness,
And He welcomes sinners in.
At the Father's right hand seated,
Still He calls His people near.
Every prayer becomes an offering,
Every burden reaches His ear.
[Pre-Chorus]
So when my heart is weak and trembling,
I will trust His faithful Word.
When the world is filled with questions,
I will stand upon the Lord.
[Chorus]
Come to the throne of grace,
Come with your broken heart.
Come with your fears and failures,
Come just as you are.
There is mercy for the wounded,
There is grace for every need.
Jesus, our Great High Priest,
Forever intercedes.
[Bridge]
We will hold our confession,
We will not be ashamed.
Christ alone is our foundation,
Christ alone we proclaim.
When the world is lost in darkness,
When the truth is under fire,
We will fix our eyes on Jesus,
Our eternal Hope and Guide.
[Final Chorus]
Come to the throne of grace,
Come with your broken heart.
Come with your fears and failures,
Come just as you are.
There is mercy for the wounded,
There is grace for every need.
Jesus, our Great High Priest,
Forever intercedes.
[Final Chorus — Lift]
Come to the throne of grace,
Come with your broken heart.
Come with your fears and failures,
Come just as you are.
There is mercy for the wounded,
There is grace for every need.
Jesus, our Great High Priest,
Forever intercedes.
[Outro]
At the throne of grace,
I will rest.
At the throne of grace,
I am safe.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
When I cannot carry on,
Christ is seated at the Father's right hand—
And He will help me carry on.
Jesus, our Great High Priest,
Our mercy, our hope, our life.
We come boldly to Your throne—
For grace to help us in our time of need.
