One Book at a Time to Fix My Money Mindset

I've shared in my last post here in the community about my reading ability development, or whatever you'd call that. The point is, reading has become a part of my everyday routine. I think I've had only two days when I didn't read and they were both busy days but I thought of the books I was on at that point while I went about the day.

What I'm saying is, I am beginning to not see a day when I won't read at least a chapter of a book and I'm loving the experience, especially the knowledge I'm gaining and mindset growth I'm experiencing. It's amazing to think that I can gather so much wisdom from people I may never meet, just by reading a few pages of their words.

Presently, I'm reading a book on the skill I'm trying to grow on. I love the writer so much but I'm keeping the review of his books that I've read for the best time to share them. For now, I just want to make sure I'm getting as much knowledge from him as I need to, no distractions.

On my quest to finish 5 books in this month of May, I have 3 left to read for the goal to be accomplished and a thought came to mind yesterday. I was seeing a video of a 29 year old guy who became a millionaire at 24 from micro habits that I had never thought of to grow money.

He said something that made me realize just why I had never thought of those... I don't learn about money. Like a skill, like a project, like a new job, one is supposed to study and learn about money for it to work for you as it should. He suggested a good number of books and he mentioned two books I've heard about countless times before.

"The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S. Clason and "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel. I ran a quick search and they are on the list of best financial books of all time. They are definitely a must read for anyone who wants to grow their money mindset and make money work as a tool but it's all talk for me now.

I'm deciding to read one of these two books in this month, and I'm thinking I'll choose "The Psychology of Money" and that's because I have read the other book before, like 10 years ago lol. Yeah, I know I don't remember a lot from what I read back then so I'll have to read it again but reading one I've never read before is a great start.

I'm off to have it downloaded and start reading tonight, I'll come back to share what I've learned from it. This is like holding myself accountable by this blog, I really need to improve my money mindset and there's no better way to start than to learn from people who have lived it and shared their wisdom. I'm excited for what I'll find in it.

Tell me, which of the two books have you read?
