A VOW OF HATE REVIEW

It was early in the morning and my roommate had her friend come for a sleep over and she woke up quite early just for me to later realize she was busy reading a book. I wasn’t really curious at first but the more the day dawn the more interested I became. She kept making different kinds of suspense movements and sounds as she sat down reading the book on her phone and at that point, I was forced to ask her for the book’s title. And asking her that question alone felt like she was waiting for it all along, hehe.

A VOW OF HATE is a standalone Arranged marriage Romance book by LYLAH JAMES. It was that day I knew of a new site to find really cool books to read and other materials too. I’m not sure of the hard cover of this book but it was the online version I found. The storyline is quite intriguing and one that will pique your interest right from the start. It’s a book that wasn’t so hard for me to picture different scenes and actions by the different characters.

The book is mostly about a young girl who lost her sister in a fatal accident. She survived though she was in a coma for a while. As the only daughter now, Julianna was expected to get married to the man her sister was supposed to marry if only she was still alive just to keep the family among the top families. Julianna wasn’t sure about the whole plan but she was helpless. She blamed herself for her sister’s death and she felt the least she could do was to get married to the man already arranged for her sister.

On the other hand, Killian (the son of the other family) loved Gracelyn so much who happened to be Julianna’s sister. And because he was sad that Julianna survived and not his beloved, he hated Julianna and because of his hate, he agreed to the marriage just so he could torment her for the rest of their lives together. His wedding vow was one bore out of hate for Julianna, little did he know that there was more to it than what he could see.

The plot twist is something that you won’t want to miss out on, trust me. I enjoyed this book despite the fact that it was first told to me. I had to skip reading some parts and that’s because I remembered the scenes and not because it was boring but because I was in a haste to find out what happens next.

I’ll give this book a 9/10 rating. That’s because it was actually pretty long and that would discourage someone like me from reading. If not it would have gotten a perfect rating. Anyways, I’m glad I found the book. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read the book or heard of it before!

Thank you for reading through. ā¤ļø

Please, I need a spoiler. Is it an enemies to lovers trope? That trope, has my heart. And if it is, I have high hopes for it already. Thanks to the synopsis and your beautiful review🄹
