Good afternoon, buzzers, so I've had a buzzy morning, lots to do, people to see, all that usual buzz! But I have some time, so we need to discuss Hive's newest game! Sloth's Idle Mining War? Sloth's Idle Miner? Sloths Mining War? Whatever it's called, it's a buzz!

Yesterday I posted showing you how to create your Hive account and start testing Sloth Mining War ; today, I'm posting a blog to earn me more Hives to keep playing! It's a win win!
Today, I'm going to share some in-game action and get you even more buzzy for the 'real' launch! We're still testing features and functions. We realised the mining speed was far too sloth-like, even for a sloth idle miner! So, that's the one main change coming for the next round of testing, which should start in just under 24 hours!

We're so thankful for those who jumped in early to this round and gave us some important feedback, and we welcome all other sloths to come try in the next round! (Don't bother joining round 1 now; it's too late for you to do much!
We had 8 players in-game over the last 24 hours, not bad since we're still flying under the radar. Next time, we're looking for at least 10 to keep the testing going and ensure everything works with a little more buzz!
I'm going to do a 'proper' how to play, when we have things a little more finalised, but for now, I just wanted to highlight the game is 'working' mostly as intended, prizes are being paid out and some interesting functions have been added to give you even more chance to earn, be competative, and find that buzzy edge to win over the competition!

As you can imagine, the game has some Sloth mining! Heck, the clues in the name! We have bees mining your Honey; this is the main currency for earning in-game. Your production rate decides your ranked position. Your Honey can be spent in various ways, from upgrading miners/sloths to 'burning' it in the honey pot for your slice of the daily payout! This can also be stolen in the PvP aspect of the game, so it's worth spending/using your honey as you can!

Let's not forget our Sloths! It is, after all, a sloth-mining war! You sloths create honeycombs; these can be used to battle bosses, are thrown at your enemies in PvP and are your defence! Hiring these miners costs you Honey and Hive! They don't reset on a weekly basis, however, so it's worth investing in a few early to give yourself an advantage!

You may have noticed each miner also comes with a boost; there are 3 boosts for each miner type, bees and sloths. These boosts give you a % increase to your stats, and work as 'hot potatoes'. What is a hot potato? Well, it's simple really. The price starts at the minimum; when you purchase it, the price doubles. If someone buys it from you, you receive 55% of 'their' fee back! So an earning over what you paid!
As only one user can hold each boost at a time, it becomes a hot potato. If no one buys the boost from you, at 'double' the value you paid, it will tick back towards its minimum price by halving every 12 hours. So, is it worth paying 'full' price to steal the boost from someone, or should you wait until the price ticks lower to steal it? Every decision adds to the fun!

Don't forget to keep your eyes on the log to see what other users are up to! A quick look at the most recent log shows we have users claiming some honey drops, your free daily airdrop of honey. Users collecting 'earnings' from burning honey in the 'honey pot'. And even a new sloth joining the game @tengolotodo, you've slothed it, a little late for this round, but welcome to the game!

That about covers the 'brief ' first look at the Sloths Mining War. We hope to see you join us for Round 2. Again, you're better off waiting until Round 2 if you want to jump in and help us test properly!

Oh, and don't forget you can pay to become a 'sponsor' of the game, earning a share of every transaction! The earning/playing possibilities are endless!
