Another week, another #SlothlySavers update (week 3 edition)

TLDR: week 3 numbers are… meh. Not bad, not amazing, just honest. Hive keeps moving, life is throwing curveballs, L2 tokens took a breather, and next week I’ll be busy preparing for surgery instead of spreadsheets. And that’s fine.

Another week, another #SlothlySavers update (week 3 edition)

Another week, another Slothly Savers post. Week 3 is in. And let’s just say: if this were a movie montage, this would be the part where the music slows down a bit.

Not because everything is broken. But because life is clearly running a different sprint this week.

The raw numbers (no hype, no excuses)

Let’s start with the boring but necessary part:

  • Hive Power: 16,391 → 16,686

  • Weekly HP goal: 247

  • Weekly HP achieved: 295

So yes, HP still did its thing. Quietly overperforming, like that colleague who never talks in meetings but somehow gets everything done.

HBD moved as well:

  • 1,611 → 1,635

Second layer… well:

  • DUO: 1,129 → 1,130

  • BBHO: 12,338 → 12,378

  • BEE: 717 → 718

If you blinked, you missed it. That’s the honest truth.

Why this week looks “not that great”

This wasn’t a Hive-heavy week. And honestly, it wasn’t supposed to be.

Between job-related pressure (which is not going to magically disappear anytime soon), adapting life and the house for our disabled daughter, and now also having to prepare for my own surgery next week, Hive simply wasn’t the main character.

And that’s ok.

In my opinion, the biggest lie in personal finance is that progress has to look impressive every single week. That’s Instagram thinking. Real life is more like: “Can the system survive when you’re tired, distracted, and slightly overwhelmed?”

So far, yes. It can.

The mindset check (Me, me, me, and me arguing in my head)

Voice 1: “Bro, you’re still up week over week. Stop complaining.”
Voice 2: “The system matters more than the moment.”
Voice 3: “Some weeks just suck. That’s normal. Calm down.”
My own voice (I think): “Please don’t make big decisions while stressed and pre-op.”

And honestly, all four are right.

No strategy changes this week. No panic buys. No rage sells. No dramatic pivots because a chart didn’t move fast enough to make me feel good.

This is one of those weeks where the real win is not messing things up.

Looking ahead (with one eye closed)

Next week will be… different. Surgery first, recovery mode after. Hive will run in the background, exactly as designed. If numbers move, great. If they barely move, also fine. If recovery gives me more time to Hive, great! If it gives me even less.. well...

Because this journey was never about speed. It’s about resilience. And sometimes resilience looks like doing a little less and not feeling guilty about it.

Slow. Steady. Slightly sarcastic. Still stacking.

Onwards. Upwards. Whalewards!

Dankuwel! En voor jou ook veel sterkte! Bij mij is het een kleine operatie, dagingreep, dan enkele weken recupereren (na een paar dagen al terug wandelen).
Ik hoop dat het bij jou ook om een kleine ingreep gaat!
