Juan Gelman bebió con Dalí.
Hablaron del destierro,
de mujeres que aspiran
a crucificar el dolor del desamparo
en el proscenio de los poetas.

Dijo en voz baja
historias de Lautréamont,
de Baudelaire el culpable,
de Toulouse-Lautrec
y de molinos
que nunca fueron rojos
en la Quadrille de La Goulue.

Habló sobre violines
y la persistencia de la memoria
en el techo de los mendigos
con el mismo dolor
de los poetas
que aspiraron al destierro.

to crucify the pain of abandonment
on the poets' stage.

He whispered
stories of Lautréamont,

on the roofs of beggars
