Beauty In The Puddle - SMARP 282

(edited)

We've had it with the rain since the week. Honestly, it’s been constant rain, the type that makes you want to stay inside, curled up in bed all day. Lol.

We’re just a few days from August now, and everyone here knows what that means — the August break. That little pause the sky gives us in the middle of the season. Maybe the clouds are just trying to let it all out before the new month, like they want to empty themselves before resting. I don't know. 😂

Honestly, the environment has been soaked - cool air, wet ground plus a bit of puddle here and there - in the streets.

My church yard isn't left out. After another downpour the other day, water gathered across the pavement, just by the entry way - a few steps up the staircase leading to the narthex (church porch).

But what caught me wasn’t the water itself, but what it was holding.

Reflection of the garden flowers along the walkway. It was like the sky had laid down a mirror for us. Greens, petals, light from the evening sky, all doubled in that quiet puddle.

Well, I took some snapshots of the view and here's how they turned out.

Another photo captured along the road.

Aren't they beautiful reflections? This is what the rain does. Messy and beautiful at the same time. Lol.

Be that as it may, August is coming. The rain will definitely take a break. And until then, I’ll keep noticing the beauty in the puddles.
