My Hive - Highlight, My Journey.

Just about a few days back if not a week already, I shared how miraculously every year had always given me the exact priority I set for myself since 2022 until now.

No long stories today but I'll be dropping just a little too here and there for each step and most especially on the most significant touch I got from Hive.

It's okay to start by saying, that “Hive” was never part of the plans for the year. I never knew about it, never heard and in some way never cared to have known and that's simply because of the initial mindset I joined the platform with. I apologize if that might have come out so rashly but you can't expect a mentality different from making money and meeting ends meet from a broke girl who was duped and had to borrow to move over to another state while still broke and jobless and so yes! I entered the hive for financial reasons and nothing more.

I can remember clearly at about towards the end of January when my elder brother asked me “Would you be interested in walking online for a start?” after giving a frontend explanation of how it works, I was like “ Isn't it just to write and make money? As long as I see the pay, I would write”.
That was the beginning of how hive became part of my year and on the 3rd of February made it official when I made my first introductory post-entry.

Still, in the spirit of writing for money, I made sure to drop a post at least 3 times a week and engage more since that seems to be the fastest means of getting votes. Hive became my only source of income for about three months plus until I got a monthly paid job that didn't last long. And yet again it remained my only source of income but at this time it felt different.

The realization of this difference didn't do on me on time only that I knew I enjoyed writing, I enjoyed sharing my stories, yes! I enjoy the reality of sharing my thoughts through writing and I feel it more so when I come across topics that relate to my experience. I once mentioned in one or I think a few of my previous posts that if ever a suitor wants to know me, he should just visit my blog and read his content because I've internationally made my blog a book and no I have no regrets at all about that. At this point again, it was now less on what comes into my wallet and more of how I could put my emotions to words because if there's one thing, I love every reader that comes across my post to feel like they could hear me talk instead of the sentences and paragraphs.

Fast-forward, to when we rated wallet check at a hundred percent it dropped to 40 after the little attachment that came along the line. Well, am glad to announce that it's a little over twenty, or let's just make it twenty-five at a percentage. Mind you, I do withdraw certainly but the mentality aspect of finances had been long gone left with an eighty percent zeal of keeping up my streak of dropping a post every day no matter how my day goes.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that this year came through too. I mean I got my top priority achieved just like I wished for it, If you want to know what that is, visit my blog😌

Lastly, to my most highlighted hive year, honestly, they're numerous, within the 10 months have met beautiful souls, made over 250 posts, and had heartwarming reviews but then to top it all would be a certain fictional writeup I made as a response to one of the hive communities weekly prompts. The topic given was to share a shocking and mind-blowing story of any celebrity, this was literally from Hivenaija and then I wrote This.

I picked this as my hive highlight for the year because it's one of the few write-ups different from my usual realistic posts. I never knew I could creatively construct a fictional story so well but I did and was very much satisfied with myself. It looks small though, but it's one story I never got tired of reading once in a while and up till today.
