Sometimes we just have to take what life throws at us

Why do people stay average?
Contentment, appreciation, and satisfaction are my answers. Many times it is not as if the person doesn't want more, but it is because you have to give way for the younger ones to build themselves too. Having a roof over your head, eating food food, being able to pay your children's school fees and having some little accents I think it enough that is contentment, being satisfy and happy with your current life.

Appreciate means being grateful for what you have, because some many people out there have prayed and some are still praying to get what you have, but life have put them in the other side, and seeing what you have and knowing you are more than some people, and you appreciate God for all that he has given you is another reason I think why some people stay average.

And for satisfaction, there are people who naturally don't want to be rich, they just want /love a simple life, they set a goal to achieve, and once they fulfill their desires or appetite, they stopped every if there is an opportunity for them to do more, and to me I don't think it a bad idea.

Wanting more sometimes comes from a place of competition, lack of appreciation, and sometimes greed. When I say competition, sometimes someone might be contented with what they have, but once they start looking outside, like seeing people who are better than them, they might want to start craving for more, forgetting the fact that God created us differently, with different destinies, purpose and much more. And appreciation, just like I have said earlier, staying average means appreciating what you have, because so many people have worked twice as hard as you but didn't really get to the level at which you are, so I think appreciation is another factor that makes people to stay average.

Another I also think is age. I know that saying, that said it's never too late to achieve your dreams, but at the same time, in as much as one wants to achieve more, sometimes the strength to do that won't be there anymore. And for some people, maybe they actually try to go beyond the average, but life or fate didn't permit that, so they accepted their fate. These are the reasons why I think some people stay average.
