Giving & being Arrogant are 2 different things
To be able to give or share with people is an opportunity to me as I see life. Because not everyone can do this.
Giving is sacrifice from the heart💕💕💖 not showing off what you can do or how you are reaching out to people.
Many people have abused this art of selflessness with different ways they approach it. Either by their character or how they relate with the individuals they are reaching out to. Even the biblical concept states that the right hand shouldn't let the left hand know what it's up to.
Giving these days are like an avenue for this persons to get online credibility from other online friends rather than credibility from God. People prefer to be praised for what they do, now they like to get validation from their fellow man.
For me giving and giving back to my community is something I do from a place of love and selflessness because that's how I see life.
I run a sickle cell foundation and we go to communities to run free medical check running free genotype and blood group test most times for 100 people or less depending on the number, our nurses are full of care and live as we also educate the people why they need to know their genotype and blood group. Why because I know the pain of having a child with that trait.
I have lost 3 siblings to the said disease and the only way I know I can make my own impact to the community is by sharing knowledge about it. Not because I have the means but because I have the team and we have been doing this for some time now.
We get donations from well meaning individuals so we share post of what funds were giving to us to do and share the list of expenses as well.
This is for my NGO. I can't talk about others or what they do or how they show they are reliability.
Giving isn't something you do because someone else is doing it or because you want to out beat them or out shine a competition but this is what we see now these days, which is bad people give arrogantly and show a certain kind of pride that they are giving to the less privilege 😞😞😔. In short they do it spitefully sometimes from a place of what can you do about it. I have it and I can do as I please with it.
In conclusion giving is sacrificial anything other than that is pure show off without the father's blessings. If you give to the needy or homeless it's an opportunity to touch lives and show love not to be seen as some people do the other way around.
