What Drives Me To Help Others.

Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. Today's topic is from Hive-Reachout which says: What Drives You To Help? So let's dive in.

Honestly, people help others for different reasons. Just like the topic said, some people help because of sympathy, some because they have enough, and some even help just for validation. But for me, I will talk about why I reach out to people.

Just like the Bible teaches us that when we give, it will be given back to us. It also encourages us to help others whenever we can. Just like what these three Bible scriptures says in Luke 6:38:which says that when we give, it will be given back to us in good measure. Another Bible scripture says in Proverbs 19:17: which says that whoever is kind to the poor is lending to the Lord, and God will reward them for what they have done. And lastly there is also Galatians 6:2: which tells us to carry each other’s burdens. These verses always remind me that helping others is not a waste, but something meaningful.

For me, the main reason I reach out to people is because I feel the need to give, especially when I have enough money. And Sometimes it is also sympathy. Honestly, whenever I see people who are hungry or in need, I feel a kind of pain in my heart because I can imagine what they are going through. I have also been in situations where things were not easy, so I can relate to their struggles. Until you put yourself in someone else’s shoes, you can never truly understand what the person is going through.

Whenever I see small children begging on the street or along the roadside, I just ask myself why life has to be that way. I am the kind of person who does not find it hard to help when I have, because I believe whatever I have was given to me by God through someone, so I should also be willing to share it with others.

Another reason that drives me to help is gratitude. I always tell myself that me being alive, able to eat, drink, sleep, dress well, or even have something extra means I should not take it for granted. There are many people out there wishing to have even the small things I have, yet they are unable to get them. So that is why I feel it is only right to extend a helping hand when I can.

In conclusion, the reason I always give is mainly out of sympathy and the belief that helping others is the right thing to do. If I have, I will give. And if I don’t have at that moment, I will honestly tell the person I will help next time, and I try my best to keep that promise. Helping people, to me, is just something I naturally do because I believe we are all one, and it is not bad to help people in need.
