This month of November, huhm I am filled with a mixed of emotions, from frustration,to gratitude and hope. This month has been one they refer to as a "rollercoaster ride" with its own share of ups and downs.
The cost of living, eating and all in Nigeria has continued to skyrocket making it very challenging for me to make ends meet, basic and essential commodities like food, transportation and all have increased, leaving me with a huge hole in my pocket.
Despite the economic challenges,I have been actively searching for a job, have tried applying to numerous places, attended interviews and tried connecting with people. However I am yet to get a job, and it has been a frustrating experience.
Some that showed green light, says I have to pay a certain amount before they could help out as agents, and after helping me to secure one(that is if they do)there is a fixed percentage I would be paying them at month end for some months.... Like...
The search for a job here has not been easy at all,you do your best to study and be a graduate and after all that, you keep on seeking for jobs. Some the pay would be just too... you know "insulting" and some would tell you if you are employed you would possibly be the doing 3-4 peoples work, with same small pay.
In the midst of my job search,I traveled.
Indeed I was excited to explore new places, meet new people and take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, but still looking out for potential vacancies there too.
In all of these challenges,I really have found solace in the Hive platform.Hive has been a wonderful community for me,providing me with a space to share my thoughts,to get busy,to participate in various prompts,to connect with likeminded individuals and also learn from others. The @hive community has been an incredible, exceptional, outstanding space/platform.
Thinking back,am reminded of the importance of gratitude, despite all the challenges I have faced I am very much still alive, and for that I am grateful,am grateful for the opportunity to travel,to meet new people,to learn new things,am grateful for the Hive community, which has provided me with a sense of belonging and support.
And as the year draws very near to a close,am filled with hope and optimism.I know that better days are ahead and I am excited to see what the future holds,I ain't losing hope yet,and I won't..
Despite all the challenges, the country's economy and all,I am still standing, and for that,I am grateful.
