Why help people?

As humans we always try to ensure to take control of the situation as much as possible, it is the desire of every human to be self-dependent and not to take help of others unfortunately it doesn’t matter how possible we are we end up in a difficult situation and we need the help of others. Some people choose to help, and some people choose not to have others, and everyone has their own thoughts behind making such a decision. What is the motive of those people to help others? Is it for showing up, or sympathy or for thinking about it as a social responsibility? What’s your thoughts related to it?

Let me make myself clear first. I try to help only selective people because I feel that everyone doesn’t deserve a helping hand of mine. So, I think I help people rarely, especially when it comes to financial help. For normal purposes I don’t have anyone in case of financial help but there are people whom I know well, and they are quite clean when it comes to financial things. If such people need financial help from me, I will try to assist them. My motive is to maintain good relationships with them as those kinds of people are genuinely good in my eyes and if in any case I face difficulties, they can also help me just in case they happen. Even if I don’t face difficulties, I want to maintain good relationships with them.

There are some situations that need emergency help and in such a case I think I’m ready to help people because I already mentioned the situation is emergency and nothing can be more important than that. I can’t hold on to my principle of helping selective people as I feel sometimes it’s necessary to help even without thinking as the situation demands it.

In case of charity or donating I also do it several times. Such thoughts come because of sympathy as well as from humanity. I just feel that sometimes people are helpless and as for help and if I am capable, why not give people a helping hand. I feel that if I help people, it will somehow return to me unless I am doing it recklessly. For the sake of humanity, we need to help others. If we don’t give a helping hand to another human, who will help them. It is one kind of responsibility of us as a human as long as I am capable of doing so.

But I never help anyone just because of fame or showing off. I feel that it’s one kind of lame thing to do and I don’t need fame as I want to maintain low profile. I don’t reveal such kind of things in front of others unless it’s necessary.
