Not Just A Story Of Fear But Of Silence>> Hive-Reachout Weekly Prompt 87.

Sophia is a very young, beauty, smart and intelligent young lady ranging between the age of 16-17, she is the first child of her parents and she just gained admission into the university, her father precisely is a Reverend and her mom is occupying the position of the mummy G.O as it's supposed, she's very young so staying around her demands you expect her to behave her age normally which is being childish so we quiet understand that aspect of her always and mostly especially she feared something.

The relationship she has with her father is one of fear not love instances where she fears to tell him about this or that because she wouldn't want him to be disappointed in her so she rather hide most things and show them the perfect daughter at home, he doesn't usually have time for his children at home because as usual his work demands his time so children time shouldn't be his priorities which lead to one amongst many things that fear has cost her.

She started experiencing some spiritual attack which manipulates her and make her do things she wouldn't have done on her own at the age of 6 and she has been keeping it to herself without telling neither her siblings or parents, she struggled with it until it became use to her but getting to know her I had to ask why she couldn't tell her parents being that they are pastors so she could easily get help but what she told me marvelled me, she said "she's so scared to tell them because they would be disappointed at her" and to that was not enough reason but I could only blame her parents for creating such atmosphere where even your own child can't relate personal stuffs with you without being judged or condemned.

Because I mean she wasn't the one that took herself to be used for such predicament instead she found herself in a mix in such a tender age which also made her not to know what to do to come out of it instead she embraced it and today all she can tell me is that it's not easy to come out of it, I believe the fear of her parents have cost her normal living like everyone else, it has cost her not to have anyone she could trust earlier on inorder to seek for help, it has cost her to loss most her friends who later on left her because they weren't comfortable around her.

And as for coming out of it she hasn't totally come out of it as she is still undergoing processes but with God's help she would scale through, the lesson I have learnt here is that every parents, sister or brother should create an atmosphere where your child(Ren) or your siblings can confide in you knowing and tell you about anything. If fear is taken out of existence I believe the main character of our story told would be bold enough to tell her parents anything without fearing the consequences of it and I would also be able to challenge or address situations that I wasn't able to face with my full chest.
