Hive-Reachout weekly prompt 51>> The change in Education system

Hello everyone hope the week is going on well and you are all doing perfectly okay, it is so good to be here again with an amazing topic which is set to let us think avast think beyond and apply it to our normal situation, so today I would be participating on the contest topic "change one thing" an open cheque to us all to improvise, stay tuned as you read with me.

I mentioned earlier about thinking avast or widely while mediating on this contest topic alot kept running through my mind, many ideas that were actually mind blowing kept flowing but the topic said just one thing so I had to settle with just one which is what lead me to our discussion of today, I thought to bring it closer to home some thing I could relate with and I landed on the academic session, are you a student? Or have you been a student? Been a student does not really imply a school environment because nowadays we have education that takes place online at home in the kitchen or any where else, so basically am going to be talking about the one that has to do with impacting of knowledge which at the end the learners are been administered exams to write in order to ascertain what they have been taught.

It is no news that examination malpractice is legalized in some educational infrastructure, while some students indulge in it been cautious of getting caught, others even pay for it to get those answers smoothly. These and many others are reasons why school is considered as scam and why products of a school ends up not been able to defend their own certificates, this is infact a big problem today in our country Nigeria where people are after the certificate and not the knowledge, where students cram their notes during exams period waiting to download it on their papers and it is vanished from their brains because they have not been studying and they tend to want to consume every thing at that period, you see people paying other people to write their papers for them because they do not want to fail.

Last month I saw wonders In my compound, I wanted confirming an information from a lady in my compound so I had to go to her door, I knocked at it and there was no response but there was slippers in front of her door so I knew she was around so I pushed her door and got inside Lo and behold she was on the group writing something on a paper from a text book in her hand, at that point I remembered she mentioned she had papers to sit for that afternoon so at that point I felt she was trying to do last minute reading before exams and so I apologized to her for disturbing, going ahead to confirm what I came in for but after some minutes I had to look closer at what she was paying full attention to and I discovered she was trying to minimize the small paper with write up from the text book it was at that point that it dawned on me what was going on.

A different incident happened where a law student who is currently in her four hundred level 400lv was writing her exams of and at some point I did not see her leaving the compound to go for exams but others who are in the same department with her was going so out of curiosity I asked and she told me that she paid some one to write it for her because according to her the exams where too hard and she did not want to fail that course, after what seemed like a long decision came to an end she said it was even because this particular lecturer is strict that is why some one is writing it for her if not she would have met the lecturer and pay for it instead of stressing.

This amongst the many is the ways which examination malpractice takes place, so if I had the opportunity to change one thing in the world I would go straight to the academic session and alter those platforms that aid in all manner of malpractice and I will also create an environment where malpractices is not tolerated thereby training they students to sit and write on their own, I feel like our education been the foundation of someone's future or brighter tomorrow should be treated with caution, since this is our grassroots which would shoot forth presidents, ministers, business men and women, doctors, lawyers, bankers, and many other professions they should be nurtured well.

If been nurtured well there would be less criminals on the streets, less criminals on the internet, practitioner doctors not those quack ones, qualified teachers not those who come to break Egusi in school, good business men and women who is not primitive but is targeting towards expansion at any given opportunity, responsible and independent children infact the society would be alot more better place to live in. We will raise children who after studies are ready to defend their certificates not only looking for Jobs but creating opportunities for themselves.

Education they say is the key do why sell the fake ones to us, it is through quality education that I learnt how to read, write, and be creative on hive Blockchain,Our system of education really needs to be reset.
